Can some please tell me which type of bow is best to use? i currently use a flatbow, but wonder if there are any better types out there...

also, there is no "Best" anything in GW. this is a balanced game, for every strength a weapon/skill may have it has its weaknesses.

For general ranger use I prefer a recurve bow, for its accuracy, but I also have a longbow available for pulling and a hornbow for extra armour penetration.

Recurve bows are excellent for interrupting. The long bow is listed as not being as accurate or fast as a recurve but I haven't noticed that big of a difference. I prefer the long bow, it's not only good for pulling, it's good for hitting targets and staying out of aggro range.
