Default Texmod question

hopefully someone can answer this. I was wondering if it would be possible, and how difficult it would be, to modify the area maps. just enough to draw a line on them, like a path to follow. I can think of so many ways i could use this, but I thought of it for running. lets just say i have a very bad sense of direction and leave it at that. thanks

Edit: and how? of course

It is very possible, and very easy, to do what you're wanting. It's the basis of the Cartography mods I've worked on. A runner's guide mod might not be a bad idea.
