PvP, titles, and high-end PvE if you have enough experience by then.

If you want a game with 100+ levels of retarded grinding to keep you occupied, go play WoW.

Basically what shoyon456 said, if you find some fun people to play with, that'll keep you playing for a good while as well. The game is just getting started when you hit level 20.

you will barely be of "newb island" by the time you hit lvl 20 - you then have 3/4 or more of the storyline left to do, as well as countless other things to keep you pleasurably occupied... and PVP is not dead - plenty of ppl and guilds do nothing but PVP.

Yeah, that may be the only quest you have available. It's a common problem with new players starting NF, they get stuck at that quest. Just grab bounties from scouts at the res shrines and kill stuff until you get to the required rank, and always remember in NF to grab bounties from any res shrines you'll see, it'll significantly cut down on the amount of grinding you end up having to do.

First of, http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page and http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page are your friends.

Once you've reached level 20, you'll have more to do than you can imagine. I'm quite serious.

I have like 40 quests currently in Guild Wars... eventually you get TOO many and they build up. Last time I checked I had 30,000+ XP of quests to do! And this only in Nightfall! I haven't really been in the other ones that much (but if you have NF stuff hit me up!)

I’ve noticed that once someone has reached lvl 20 and has played out most of the game they go into guild management. AB is also a big draw to the lvl 20 crowd. It takes a very very long time to run out of quest in Guild Wars. I’ve been playing for 2+ years and I still have tons left to do. I always find it interesting that WoW players have a hard time figuring out a game not based on leveling, they usually don’t last very long in Guild Wars. They end up being those punk kids that show up in Ascalon during WoW maintenance telling the world how much better WoW is because they hit lvl 15 in pre and they already beat the game, never even noticing that there’s a whole new world right outside the gate and the game is just getting started

Yeah, your only a part of the way through the game at 20. Skill > Time.

Prophices lvl 20 = 1/2th through the game.
Factions lvl 20 = 1/15th through the game.
Nightfall lvl 20 = 1/10th through the game.

Thats just the storyline, then there is the bonus/hard missions. Basically it just keeps going.

Then there is GWEN which is all about max level further proving skill > time.
Now that your part of the way, I suggest getting a guild, get some buddies that can help during their spare time, goes by this code.

Friends>Guildies>Alliance>PuG's

I'll be happy to help you with a part of the game, because the real challenge begins.

Like everyone before me has said, the real game begins at 20. And there's a ton to do, you'll have so much content you won't really know what to do. You can:

1.) Continue your campaign storyline, for a nice RPG aspect. Usually playing a campaign from beginning to end is the first thing you do, as when you finish you have a nice present, map locations, decent amount of money, and generally experience in the game itself.

2.) Go for titles, there's a lot of cool things you can go for like making a full map with Cartographer, or skill hunting to give your build more variety with Skill Hunter, though just remember usually starting on a title it takes time, effort, and money.

3.) Do quests, I've never finished every quest in this game but quests give you money, and usually decent rewards, Prophecies quests gives skills too. Whenever you're short on money or something, its good to take a quest on the side.

The reason for a lvl 20 cap has its obvious up's and down's depending what you like in an MMO, but for most of the people here I guess we can agree that lvl 20 is there so that we can experience the full game fast, and most important of all, you can hit the max lvl without tenious grind based gameplay like in other MMO's where you spend months "grinding" nonstop on the same mobs for hours or something for the "full game experience"

Nah, this is Guild Wars and when you get down to it, level dosen't matter, skill matters.

What they said

in GW lvl 20 isn't the end or anywhere near since lvl doesn't show character progress, skills do that, which is a more realistic way of showing development.

Also the way to enjoy the game is the same as its always been even though its an old game now.
Find and make friends with new players, people who are in the same position as yourself then play the game.
Eventually forming or joining a guild.

There is no end of cynical been there done that players who are all doom and gloom but there are also new players still joining.
