how and with whom do i talk to so i can get a pet? or do you have to buy it @ ncstore

You need to be a rangers and use charm animal on the animal, then u must keep the skill charm animal in you skills to keep the pet in battle.

If you change your proffesion to /r it will be one of the first skills you get. One thing the poster above me missed is that you need to use it on a specific type of animal, monsters cant be charmed.

Unless, of course, you're talking about a mini-pet - in which case you will get one every time one of your characters has a birthday. Others may be obtained via rare gifts from Nicholas the Traveller and other sources.

I'll just chip in and say (if you do mean a ranger pet) heres a list of all the ones you can get from each campign. Apart from looks they have no difference (yes I know about the bears and so on)

Adding to that, you can also buy them in game from people too.
