Alright, are you running a vent server, or just using vent

Your guild (or whoever), should have a server name and a port number for you to enter in the vent client. That lets you connect to the server they have and talk or listen to other people.

In the Vent client, near the top, there are pulldown menus for User Namer, Server, and Bindings.

Hit the right arrow button next to Server and you get the window for setting up a new server. You put the server info in there.

Bindings can be left empty but you should also set up a user name with the right arrow next to User Name. This lets other people on the server know who you are.

Once you've set up the server info, make sure it's the one selected in the Server pulldown menu. Then hit the connect button.

It costs money to make a server. You can typically find instructional vids online.
