Default 55 farming

Hi i have been having a lot of trouble lately with finding a good place to farm as a 55. Either i dont get good drops or i usually die.

if someone could direct me in the right way and a good place to farm i would greatly appreciate it!

The thing is, there are a lot of places to farm, but they don't all use the same build. For instance, you can farm in the Gates of Kryta mission and kill the undead there. Problem is they come in large numbers, and the health regen won't be enough to keep you alive, so you need some damage reduction via Shield of Absorption and Shielding Hands. Now, another good spot to farm is Hidden City of Adhasham. But those monsters have some degen to deal with, so taking Shield of Absorption/Shielding Hands wan't be enough, you'll need some regen.

I always farm for things I need. This way I not only make money from getting other things, but also save money by not having to buy as much as what I needed. So if you want to buy armor, farm the materials that armor will need.

Now, you can also farm things like UW, but that won't be done solo. UW needs you to take Spell Breaker so you don't get hit with Rend and lose all your enchantments. This means no options for damage, or your options are so slow, it won't be worth using.

Really? Since when? I just did the mish farm behind the farm house (and did the other groups afterwards) without any issue.

To answer the OP... read Magma. There are tons of places to 55, you just need to tweak your build here and there.

There are some Skeleton Mesmers, but not where most people farm the mission. Even those Mesmers don't cause trouble as they do not have any interrupts or enchantment removal, just some degen. And if you are actually dealing with the Mergoyles, you are missing the point of farming there anyway. Even the Mergoyles don't have enchantment removal, but they do have Power Block in HM.

Gates of Kryta is quite easy to farm still as a 55.

Decayed Orr Emblems are better off used or sold to players, not the merchant. Although there won't be many buyers now, when Halloween and Wintersday roll around, people will buy them to use for candy, alcohol, etc.

Yep, that is where I usually farm undead at. Drops are nothing special, occassionally get Sephis Axes, but those aren't worth much even when 'perfect'. I do it for Bones, Glittering Dust, Granite (specific items they drop will salvage into it), Iron (more salvaging), Leather (Expert Salvage the ranger armors), Tomes (Ranger, Necro, Elem, Mesmer, Warrior, and Monk are all possible), and of course the Decayed Orr Emblems.

If you are persistent, you can take out the groups with the Clerics and/or Monks, but it is slow. I am able to Vanquish The Cursed Lands solo, which also provides a small bonus in gold and XP.

Undead are available in several places though. Nightfall has some good Undead farming spots, and they will drop inscibable weapons there. But the real money maker for a Monk is doing dungeon runs as a 600/smite team. 55 would still probably come out best by farming UW, but that requires a partner, and other options are faster, easier, and can do more.

After I finish building my sin and my rit, I plan to start my monk. Can't wait to have all kinds of fun getting 1 hit killed. Awesome!

i dont know what ur talking about, I can solo GoK with my 55hp monk in hardmode, that means kill nearly everything and every boss (except mergoyles) and finish the mission with a full inventory of collected items. Such an easy thing to farm, GoK.
