Default Weapon set and Equipment pack: How to switch correctly?

For some reason the weapon sets of my latest chr. refuse to switch back to the equipmant pack. I thought I had set it up just like the other chr's where it works fine:

1. Put all equimpment into the equipment pack.
2. Create the weapon sets.

But the sets jump to the backpack when I switch them.

What was the trick again??

Don't think there is a trick. It sucks.

Equip an offhand even if you're wielding a two handed weapon. Else the offhand will swap back to your backpack.

you have to:

1) open up all your bags (so you can see where all your weapons are)
2) assign your f1 - f4 weapon sets
3) switch the weapons, pressing f1 - f4 one by one, the weapons will drop into the first available slot.
4) when that happens, manually put them into the slot you desire in your equipments pack.
5) switch again, they should be where you manually put them now.

that's how I do it. But if you change to a new weapon you have to do the whole thing again.

Aaah, that's it, if used in combination with this:

Once both an offhand and weapon are swapped, and placed back into the equipment pack, than they swap back correctly. And on the moment you swap only 1 weapon with both offhand/weapon, it will mess up.

Thanks for the responses!

You can equip a two handed weapon and an offhand at the same time. You won't gain the effects of the offhand, but when you switch weapon sets, it doesn't mess up anything in your inventory.
