Default Returning to the game but can't log in

Hello all. I've not played guildwars for over a year. I had a monk which i levelled all the way up to 14 and then got bored.

Now im ready to give the game a new try, partly cause im bored with the other games im playing.

However when i try to login now i get the message:

Your guildwars account has been blocked for an account issue. Code = 045.

What is this about? I really want to play now and I submitted a question about this on customer support website but havent received an answer yet after 4 hours. Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

Also how can there be an account issue when i never play with this account and im positive that no one knows my password?

Have you entered in user id password AND in game character name? Need all three to be able to log indeed

From the Technician's corner:

Code=045 "Your account has been blocked due to unacceptable behaviour. You won't be able to log in again until the block expires. The first few times your account is blocked, you will be unable to log in for a few hours. Continued offenses will result in longer and longer blocks."
OR "Your account has been banned from Guild Wars for a breach of the User Agreement and/or Rules of Conduct. This ban is permanent."

Solutions and Explanations

This code appears when you have been banned from Guild Wars. If you feel you have been banned in error you can contact www.guildwars.com/support. Please review the Guild Wars Rules of Conduct, Conduct Breaches and Outcome, and Guild Wars User Agreement.


Best thing to do is wait for an explanation from the support team as to why you've been banned.

Wait to hear back from Anet. They will respond, often times within 24 hours. There could be a number of nefarious reasons your account was tagged. Hopefully, it is something erroneous and you'll get it straightened out.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do for you. You will need to discuss the matter with Guild Wars Support - they are the only ones who will be able to assist you in sorting out why your account is blocked/banned/suspended and resolve that issue allowing you to play.

Unfortunately you will need to wait for their response - this could be anywhere from 1 day to 1 week. Personally whenever I've had to contact support for help I've been back playing within 48 hours (my issue's were forgotten passwords and characters).
