Default Hardened Humps

So, since Nick wants Hardened Humps this week, where's a good place to farm them? I've tried outside of Boiling Springs, and I found a pretty good group of Ettins the first run. But the second, third, and fourth runs had no Ettins. Zero. Zilch. o.O;;

Not really sure what to make of that.

Anyone know any good places to find them?

Try one of the missions around Aurora Glade. The one that involves staying and protecting the NPC at a mending spot has a number of Ettins off the final path.

Probably best to ask this in the farming section or in the Nicholas thread.

I found mine easiest to get outside Beetletun. Just head straight and there is a few groups of 3-4 at a time. Got mine in 2 runs doing Spirit Spam.

I went back and forth across the northern section of Nebo Terrace a few times, between Beetletun and North Kryta Province. It took about 6 runs to get the 10 humps, since they didn't seem too fond of actually dropping them, but you should encounter at least 15 ettins across that section.

well ive been doing this Rit Spiker with para speed buffs and it seems to work pretty well duo and solo managed to get 20 humps duo in around 5 runs not bad going although i did slightly better in solo where i got 22 humps in 5 runs pretty good farming though and as usual i got jack squat from gifts. im my opinion the best place to farm em is to start from beetleton and run along the north of terrace all the way to portal killing all ettins zone and repeat real easy.

The Beetletun run seems like a good idea. However, I'm in a bit of a stuck spot. I haven't finished WiK on my Ritualist and there's a huge group of Mantle blocking my path. It really puts a dent in my farming time. I have to wait a good 30-50 seconds for them to yap on about how much they hate me before the turn hostile. And then I have to try to either run or fight a group of 8 to 9, level 20 Peacekeepers.

Blegh. Not happy about Nick's choice of location this week.

[textcentered]Don't blame Arena.Net for Nick's location choice, blame Arena.Net for not having an "off" switch for the WiK content.[/textcentered]

While they are at it could they make an off switch for dying nightmares and skeletons in UW as well.

On topic - beetletun always seem to be the best place to farm ettins. Maybe instead of zoning in and at at beetletun you can zone in an out at North Kryta. Not sure if there are any peacekeepers there. This way you only have to beet them once. Or you could kill the ettins outside the North Kryta village (forgot the name) the run to and from the zone is a little longer but no peacekeeprs

You should be able to defeat the Peacekeepers, as it's almost entirely made up of melee. Get something to blind them or concentrate AoE. If you have heroes it should be a cinch and they won't bug you again.

As mentioned already you could zone from the opposite end instead of Beetletun. I actually prefer zoning from there since you only have the tiny threat of some easily ignorable tengu and then clear sailing to the ettin.

You shouldn't have too much of a problem with the peacekeepers, if at worst your playing something squishy and unsuitable for soloing take a full partyof H/H to deal with the keepers then flag them out of range to deal with the ettins using only yourself and the WiK allies

For easy Hardened Hump farm, start from Beetletun, zone into Nebo Terrace.
Kill all Ettins as you fight your way to North Kryta Province. Zone into North Kryta Province.
Zone back into Nebo Terrace, Kill all the Ettins along the way to Beetletun...

When all ettins are dead, remove armor -> Die, spawn at gate to North Kryta Province, zone, repeat.

Works nicely, farmed about 40 Humps in one hour.
