Default Password Resets

Hey guys

I'm pretty sure many people have had the same problem as me, and i'm just wondering if anyone who has reset their password and didn't receive the notification email could tell me how long it took for them to get a reply back from support after this email:

"Hello Becca,

Thank you for the update. (by update he meant my previous email in which they asked me for some of my details)

I am escalating your ticket for further assistance. Once your ticket has been reviewed, someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Anthony
Guild Wars Account Support"

I just want a general idea of when i should expect someone to get in touch with me so i don't have to worry about anything.

Thank you in advance

I've only been off for 5 days now so i'll give them another couple of days to get in touch with me, i know they can be busy but i have no idea whats happening to my account right now and i don't want 3 years of playing to go down the drain due to a silly mistake i made.

like the sparrow question in Monty Python's Holy Grail?

Yeah, it's completely unreasonable for them to ask you things like character name or cd keys, etc. I mean, who wants security measures to protect their 5-yr-old accounts, anyways?

I had forgotten my password and I found their requests reasonable for the information they wanted to reset it..(I have since changed my email since last logging in so couldnt reset through there). I think it asked for CD-keys and a character name lol.

Google - Now there is a company you are NEVER going to recover your account from if you lose it.

I've got to agree about their shaky customer support. But then again, what can you expect when you're playing a game without a monthly fee? I feel like I'm paying more for the customer support than the actual game when I play other games (Blizzard is one example).

But anyway, I lost my password once long ago and tried to retrieve it. It took forever to get it back, even when I supplied all of my CD keys, billing information from orders on the in-game store, my name, email, a handful of characters' names, and a few extra keys that I had entered for minipets.

I figured things would go faster if I gave them too much information rather than too little. Yeah, it still took about 3 weeks for them to get back to me. But I did get my password for my master account returned.

Well I have to come to there defence here,

In the 5 years nomatter what the problem was I have always had a second reply if it has been passed on within 3 days,

Now on the email they have sent you to begin with you have a section where you can reply ..between the green lines to update it.

If you like me I dont throw out emails from way back with regard to anet , this means if i do have a problem on a particular account there is an email i have saved hence quick retuns on my end

They are correct in requesting details from you personal ect as some guys give friends there account so this ensures a security block if its done.

Also look in your junk mail as every possibliity its there unless you have allowed ncsoft into your inbox at a prior date.
