abnormal scythe base damage value? - Guild Wars Forums

So I was just checking my Melonni's weapon and I was surprised to find a rq6 10-29 damage. I know this isn't a perfect weapon, but seeing as the perfect stats for a scythe are listed beginning from 9, is this abnormal or am I missing something?

it is a starter scythe....if u notice the other heroes they all start with a low req and non-max dmg weapons

so they got no value, even because they are customized for you and cannot be sold...

It's a known phenomenon. You can have non-max damage weapons that have a higher minimum damage than a max weapon could (what was it, 16-27 bows and the like?). The ones near the very top could well be worth using - same average, lower max, but higher minimum.

that's new, i can't recall encountering this, but then again i don't really keep time to look upon common weapons damage' indicators.

I've seen it a lot, it also happens with axes, don't think bows can be 16-27. Nor do I think bows can go as high as 16 actually.. It's just axes and Scythes, because their lowest max is so damn low. I do think a 7-27 axe might exist.. Well, that's a new one for the "does it exist" thread

I've gotten 10-X damage scythe drops a couple of times before. But it doesn't happen often no.
