Exclamation Assault on the Stronghold HM Solo

Hi,

Does anybody have tips and tactics on how to accomplish Assault on the Strong Hold in HM solo? I am doing it solo b/c none of my guildies/allies will help, and there is nobody doing it at the outpost.

Please give me all the strategies and help that you can, such as builds, and how to do it solo. Every time I do it, the saurus doesn't survive.

Thanks,
wolf1095

I generally use a bonder hero to keep the saurus alive (life barrier, life bond, mending, that sort of thing). Then just stay back, kill some charr, wait for the gate to go down and then take down the archers on one or both sides and go in.

A bonder like this can spam prots on your party while bonding the saurus.

Just did it with that build in 6 minutes. I didn't use Watchful Spirit, you can slot in another prot for that.

Yep. Seconded on using a Hero bonder. Even when going with other humans, it's the best possible choice. It turns a mission that is routinely Hellish even in Normal Mode into a cakewalk.

Just have one character running life bond on the Saurus (doesnt have to be a dedicated bonder build). A necro would be best since EN usually isnt a problem for them.

/necro,
consume corpse
kill a ranger on the right side
tele
run for shrine, kill yourself, kill heroes with res(when all heroes with res dies, the timer starts, thus making it possible for some heroes not to get dp)
kill the glitched mob at shrine, and go complete the quest

I think this got fixed in an update a while ago, though I haven't tried it myself since then to check.

I think the most difficult part is keeping the dino alive, I used to take Mark of Protection and stick it on the dino when it got near the gate but don't think that works anymore. If you stay to the right you only have to deal with 1 group of respawning Charr, not sure if that helps any but GL!

It used to be that you could avoid activating the rez shrine near where you started the mission and then just go in and die by the bluffs to be rezzed inside (or something like that). That first rez shrine activation is now either automatic or you start close enough to it to activate it.

But the above necrotic traversal/consume corpse trick works...did it myself a couple weeks ago.

I like to take a couple of minion master heroes. Tell the left devourer to bombard the left bluff and the right one to target the right gate. After a couple shots there are bodies on the wall for fodder. Run up to the wall. Minion masters res a few minions on the wall and after that it's a piece of cake.
