The way to get FoW armor at lvl 7 ? - Guild Wars Forums

What are the steps one should follow to acquire obsidian armor at lvl 7 ? ( Where to start character, ferry, xp avoiding, etc. )
Just curious.

You cannot get Obsidian Armor at level 7. In any of the campaigns you need to work through to the point of becoming Ascended to enter the Fissure of Woe. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Fissure_of_Woe

Hi, I'm sorry but you actually can. I have a friend who got his at lvl 8-9. I'm just asking those that know what's the deal, to tell me what xp rewards to skip eventually so the lvl can be even lower. It just happens that when you are a low lvl, and you get a ferry to KC, you can ascend there as low as level 3-4, you get the idea xD

First off, you will have to avoid ALL exp's from foes. So you NEED someone to run you.

You can start in proph of nightfall. If from proph, get out of pre as lvl 1. Get a run to LA and get someone to run you to Kaening Center.
If from nf, be sure to get standard reward on Chahbek Village (try having someone with minions and make the minions hostile by dying/using Verata's Aura). After that simply get a ferry to docks and from there to KC
Do the quests to Vizunah Square (Foreign). But DONT accept completed quest which leads to a mission. (ie, dont accept 'Welcome to cantha', abandon the quest and enter the mission)

After that, find someone who's at the quest 'Closer to the Stars', and join up with him (he has to be leader).
Then just let him do the quest and Nahpui Quarter is open to do and get a lvl 2 ascended character (get standard reward ofc) (minimum 2275exp)

After that, just go to ToA, find someone to run you FoW run and be sure to avoid all exp from foes (ie die). Let the runner do the 3 quests to FoW armor, and when he's done ress you.
Then you need to accept these 3 rewards to be able to craft the armor, and that should bring you to lvl 7

You CAN have obi at lvl2

Min exp from Old Ascalon until Ascension is probably 4k (defeat doopleganger >10min),
or 2k if through Factions (need a run to Vizunah Square, then directly to Nahpui Quarters with someone who have quest Closer to the Stars), completing missions in >25min. So yep, level 2 with FoW armor is possible.

Sounds logical, but what about the 3 quests in FoW that have to be completed in order to get the crafting dialogue from the NPC ? Those are 30k experience.

Actually you're wrong there.
The Forgemaster wont let you talk to him until YOU have taken the quests, and accepted them.
Trading NPC's is invidivual, like having a rank 5 asuran friend in your party wont let you craft BU's from him

What about the 50k xp from the doppelganger? Does it only trigger if you also meet the bonus criterion? I was under the impression that you always receive it unless you've ascended on another continent.

So the only way to get obby armor at level 7 is to only accept two quests in FoW, given by The Eternal Forgemaster. Since theese two quests give 20k exp total, you have to have max 5699 exp when entering FoW. Level 2-6 is impossible unless you find a glitch to bypass the quest rewards.
