Default What to do when Resurrection Signet needs recharging?

I play my first partied game with a friend. When he died for the second time I didn't know what to do. It didn't seem like it was possible for me to get a morale boost.

This happened when we were ready to quit anyway so we exited the game.

Now I want to know how to handle this the next time. If you go to a town will that automatically resurrect?

There's not a whole lot you can do, except to die also. If it's not a mission, when all party members die, you all respawn together. (If it is a mission, you're SOL)

If you have Monk as a secondary (or primary) you can eventually get a reusable rez spell such as Resurrect or Rebirth, etc. (but not in pre-searing)

Entering a town or outpost will resurrect your friend and recharge your signet. Towns and outposts are much different from explorable areas and missions. There are never any enemies in towns and outposts (except one in prophecies near LA, I forget the name of it. but they can't hurt you) and you also can never use skills in outposts. When you enter an outpost everything will be "reset". So mobs will be in the explorable area next time, all skills will be recharged etc.

You can also get resurrection skills which recharge like normal skills (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hard_resurrection) so if you think you might die often then it might be worth looking into. The problem is most of these skills have long casting times/don't give you all your health/energy etc so they aren't great for casting in the middle of battle.

If you go back to town or even zone to another explorable area he will resurrect, however, whatever quest you are doing will most likely be interrupted and you will have to start it again.

There are a couple of things you can do. If you're not in the middle of quest that will be interrupted and you are near a portal you can zone to another area and your partner will be alive again. If you are heading to another zone and you and your heroes are strong enough to get there without your friend, go ahead and leave his body behind and when you enter the next zone your friend will rez. If you go directly into another explorable area DP (death penalty) will apply to your friend until he gets enough experience to overcome it or he enters an outpost.

You can both type /resign and you will both be sent back to the last outpost you were in. Or you can go back to the portal to town and enter. You will still be partied with him. Neither of you will have DP and you can start your task over.

You can run yourself and your heroes into a bunch of mobs and die. You and your partner and your heroes and pets will all rez at the last shrine you activated - or the nearest shrine of your faction if you are in Cantha. You will both have DP, however. This will not work if you are in a mission as missions have no rez shrines

True. Your only option in a mission is, if you and your heroes/henchmen are strong enough, to play through to a cinematic. All party members resurrect at cinematics.

For newbies, I suggest a hard res.

Once you get better at the game you can stick the hard rezzes on a hero or two. And once you've accumulated enough cash, you can spring for some resurrection scrolls for emergencies.

Killing a boss will recharge your signet. If the party is strong enough with the dead friend for you to take down a boss you will get a morale boost. If you have both a dead friend and a dead monk, rez the monk unless the friend has a reusable rez.

You should always take your resurrection signet back to an authorized resurrection signet dealer for recharging. Peddlers of after-market recharges often lack the necessary training and tools to properly recharge a resurrection signet and may void your warranty.

OK, silliness aside, ways to get your party not dead anymore if your rez signet has been used:
1. Crossing a zone border will resurrect your entire party and recharge your rez signet.
2. Triggering a cutscene will resurrect your entire party.
3. Returning to town (map travel by pressing "m," then click a town) will resurrect you.
4. Resigning (all players type "/resign") will return the party to town as a group, resurrecting the entire party.
5. If there is a resurrection shrine in the zone, and your entire party dies (or your entire party dies, minus any heroes/henchmen who don't have a rez), then your entire party will be resurrected at the shrine. (If there is no shrine, you will be resurrected, but also kicked back to town.)
6. Killing a boss (or, in some rare cases, accomplishing a mission-related goal) will give you a morale boost that recharges rez signets.
7. As an alternative to the rez signet, there are other skills that resurrect a party member and can be used repeatedly.
8. As an alternative to using a skill, resurrection scrolls are an item that resurrects dead party members.
