Two questions - Guild Wars Forums

I have been unable to find any answers to the following questions. I appreciate all help.

1) Is it possible to close your own trading thread in this forum? I always had to ask a moderator to close a thread and that seems like such a waste of their time. I can't find instructions for closing anywhere?!?!

2) In GW itself, is there any way to expand the description field in the party search box so you can read the entire (or most) of the WTS / WTB posts?

Edit> Go Advanced> change prefix to closed.

And no, you cannot, which sucks, since that field is so small.

I've always wondered *how* people manage to write posts longer than the box...

If they just post i.e "WTS Long sword|fiery embersteel blade|mini evinia|Duststacks"

You will only see "wts long sword|fiery emb"
Theres no way to bypass it.

They don't use the "Search" button to bring up the Party Search window. There's a tab on your Chat bar for trade as well. Ppl with long trade messages use "$ Trade" instead.

IF you check the FAQ section of Ventari's you will notice Sierra's post on how to correctly close a thread (and how to change prefixes by Jenn).....been there for 2+ years now....

and yes, in gw if you type in all chat (the trade tab) you can type out longer chats, but when it goes to the trade channel (for all districts to see) it gets truncated.
