Wow, really awesome, nice screenshot.

I never got very far in the underworld, I went in with 3 people because at the time I thought you could've brought hench, and...well needless to say the 3 of us got friggin' nailed into the ground like railroad stakes, at the spawn point. Go figure 'eh?

Cool shot, either way. Think you could get this on a higher resolution? It'd make a nice wallpaper.

Hold the shift key when you press the print screen button, this will hide the interface while taking the screenshot and then show the interface again immediately.

Two more pics including my characters:
Lunara Kha in the Underworld
Aure Fatali in the Underworld

After you accept the quest from the Lost Soul, and clear the area of Grasping Darkness, the doors are opened. But this location is not through the doors that continue that first quest. You go east I believe (or right when you first appear there) and go through another door that was locked at the beginning. Then you enter that hallway, make a sharp turn to your left and should be proceeding up some stairs to the Smite Crawlers area. This is where you fight them, along with Coldfire Nights (those black, beastly creatures in the distance in the pictures).

Haha ha ha, it takes a smart group of all lvl 20s to survive the UW. So to answer your question, no a lvl 10 could not.

you cant get there without being level 20, unless you run through lornar pass instead of ascending (you get lvl 20 automatically after ascending)

Yes you can get there without being level 20. You go to the Temple of ages NW of Lion's arch and pay the statue 1 plat(supposedly that's not much) for entrance. I've seen level 10's somehow make it to ToA and accidentally jump into the fissure.

It's not a lot, and a level 10 could get to temple of ages, and go to either underworld or fissure, he just wouldn't survive.

I found a Statue of Grenth in Black Curtain (or one of the surrounding zones) and decided to tell my party to /kneel at the statue so that some of our teammates could clear their death penalty. Well, someone decided to pay 1 platinum and we were whisked off to the Underworld.

So you can actually go to the Underworld before Temple, but I don't know why you would...

does that work?
kneeling for Grenth wipes death penalty?

Well, the black curtain is best achieved from the Temple of Ages anyway. Temple of Ages is north of the Wizard's tower. So it counts as the same. Statues that take you to the UW or Fissure won't give you the blessing.

You have to do it from TOA, any statues in the feild offer small bonuses.

My level 20 fire ele lasted about 45 seconds the first time, 15 seconds the second time and 15 seconds the third time.

The first time I went alone cuz I didn't know what would happen
The second and third time some goon aggroed a bunch of mobs before I even finished dling the map.
