Default Uhm, Oops?

So it was late at night, and I was trying to ascend my ranger, and in Thirsty River mission, I found this Rare scroll of Hero's Insight (Gives party triple exp in 10 minutes (One use only though))

Then for some reason I got the idea of identify it, yay O_o Great Idea Ray.
So I dragged my mouse over my inventory and accidentally double clicked on my salvage tool (expert, yo.) and then on the scroll.

Yeah, good job.
After I was done running around in circles in frustrations, I wondered how the hell a scroll could give 3 granite slabs...

Very weird O_o

If you need any granite slabs, salvage a rare scroll.

I reccomend EmperorTippy's Store for teh stupid. I will sell you 10 granite slabs for 1 scroll of heros insight. Thats 33 and 1/3 more granite than you will get with an expert salvage.

Well, to craft scrolls, you need granite slabs. So if you salvage it, I guess it gives them to you.

Maybe they used mystical powers to somehow chisel the magic onto a slab of rock, then further perused their magical powers to roll it up in scroll form?

...Then why would you need the slabs to craft a scroll? I thought you would need some sort of rod and some parchment?

Oh well...this is about as confusing as Spider Legs giving you Shells (!) when you salvage them.

*Takes note*

Glowing hearts also give you granite slabs. The first person to logically explain to me how do you obtain granite from hearts using screwdrivers wins 9 slabs. That's enough to construct 3 scrolls if you glue them the correct way.

If there was a glue kit, it would be like the salvage kit, like..

You have a Breastplate, you salvage it. -Get 2 iron ingot.
You think "Oh noes" and grab your glue kit.
You glue 2 iron ingots, you get Giant's boots. (Or anything but Breastplate)

Or even worse,
You have a Dwarven armor, you salvage it. -Get 1 woodplank.
You think "Oh noes" - end of story -_-

I don't think a gluekit would fit anywhere.

Imagine O_o.

You get a Sticky Wood Plank. Kind of fearsome. Enemy movement rate reduced by 2% if you hit the shoes.

But it should go "Er, are you sure?" if you try to salvage some more expensive items.

You got the raw materials used to craft scrolls, weird huh?
There's the scroll crafter in the northeast area outside of port sledge, east of droknars

I make a major point of making sure my ID kits are as far away in my inventory from my Salvage kits as possible. One is in the top right of my backpack, the other is in the bottom left of my second bag. I still make mistakes sometimes, but at least it's not by misclicking the box next to the one I want.
