That looks really fake. Even a baby could spot that. The text is all wrong, numbers of the monsters dmg is lighter, text my solid.

Whip would be fun, along with a Giant Metal Phallus. Anet is getting better and better ideas.

Yeah snare looks like an uber version of blackout, too good for an elite even.

Gaile and the frog seemed pretty clear that they didn't think a whip was an appropriate Beast Mastery weapon. Also, Arenanet usually has pretty good English grammar, and those "descriptions" do not.

Yeah, the only "speculation" here is how much time was wasted on this crap. Yet another lesson in "GW people will believe anything."

The first picture the ranger is casting an elemental spell, probaly javelin, and the second she about to cast troll ungent. It has been a while since I used my ranger as a caster, so I'm not positive on the spell. Any ranger can tell it is a fake.

Its not the Guild Wars font/size either (the text) and the whips in the screenshots look a bit dodgy. They just look like bits of Rope. I say fake, although it must have taken a while to do.

It's interesting to see a bullwhip that does more basic damage than any sword, axe or bow. I don't recall anyone ever getting beheaded or dying from a single lash of a whip ... lol

That that Snare skill looks way too good, as others have said. 6 Snare rangers and 2 monks FTW.

Who said everything was balanced in Alpha or beta (or even release)? If you played in the WPE then you would know that some skill descriptions have spelling and grammatical error. It is a fake but i hope otherwise. However i would rather see a weapon such as this whip instead of a ghey one like this:

ugh!

I appreciate your comment but my statement about the damage dealt has nothing to do with my belief that it's fake. It's just a separate observation.

If you want to know why I believe it's a fake then look at my other posts.

- besides, if you're going to excuse all inconsistencies due to it being a supposed alpha then I could photoshop something that has any old crappy icon using Courier font and bad grammar claiming also that it's just an alpha .... Tell you what ... if I'm wrong I'll look you up in the game and give you 1 gold piece ... just don't spend it all in one place, OK?

A "Beastmaster Ranger"? I doubt they are going to add new content or skills to the existing skill pools anyway.

I don't see how anyone could ever think that this is real. The OP must have made this himself >.>

Crotalus seems to be the only one here who thinks it might be real ...

good point.

Now the second screenshot won't load - I think he's tweaking it more with Photoshop before he posts it again lol.

Lexar's, comment about the load icon is a good one ...

Looks like they've been faked by someone who's got:
A> Photoshop
B> A fetish for sadism and masochism

Seriously look at Snare...

A skill that hits from maybe shortbow range, pulls them to melee range and blacks out their skill bar. I'd be nice if it wasn't complete b/s....

Wow. Those skill descriptions are really stupid. "First pass adds 12 damage. Second pass adds 9 damage. Wielding two whips will strike 4 times." I wonder how they came up with that one.

Why would it deal more damage to enemies that are farther away? A whip is a meele weapon, not a ranged weapon. The closer you would be to the target, the more damage it would take according to common logic; am I mistaken?
