Default 15k Assassin Male Armor set

This full 15k set brought to you by... The people of Guild Wars PFE! Before I get a bazillion questions on where this is crafted, it is done in the Vasburg Armory (Kurzick). It is where you are taken right after the Kurzick mission, far south of most the other towns. You can find the screens of the full Kurzick and Luxon maps from the preview in the SS Exposition thread.

All the variant armor stats look the same (for 1.5k and 15k). The 1.5k and 15k mask look exactly the same:

I crafted the full 1.5k armor set by myself and dyed it yellow early on in the event; landed a Superior Absorption rune drop. But, the 15k Assassin set was earned by everyone else's donations of gold, amber, and materials. I pooled what I had leftover to the full 15k Ritualist set (female), made by Shallow Grave Giver, and mostly the GW players' donations.

Here is the 15k set, and 1.5k dyed yellow, and starter assassin set on some other guy, which is in standard red I believe):

15k set in standard color:

And here is 15k ritualist set (female) on Shallow Grave Giver, in Purple and the original colors:

I had to make all these jpegs. Free imageshack ftl
If anyone has a better site to use I can re-post with full quality images. Or perhaps send them to you if you have a full blown paid account with imageshack etc.

There were many contributors to providing these armors before the Event ended. Big thanks to all you guys, sorry I couldn't list you all. There were far too many .

well if a whole guild pooled together to get one character some 15k (or two in this case) its certaintly plausible.

Well we must remember that the game is still in beta and even in Prophecies it took a couple months after release for them to update most 15k sets for certain professions. I.E 15k Aeromancer for eles, Druids set for ranger and Glads for Wars all looked the same to their 1.5k counterparts at release.

Good job though on creating 15k over a weekend!

So great to see you finally get the boots!

I missed seeing Shallow Grave, tho.

Public donations FTW!

It didn't take as long as you guys would think. The amber (no jadeite is required for Kurzick) was almost gathered instantly. By that point on the Kurzick map almost everyone had 10k Faction to blow, or close to. I also had 10k faction for 10 quick Amber. By the time I got to the Armory that afternoon I could almost purchase one chestpiece myself, but helped pool to Shallow's full 15k ritualist set. Hers was done in an hour or two? (from when I arrived). After we finished that one collecting gold and materials for mine only took 3-4 hours or something.

My guild really didn't have anything to do with it. Most had explored their hearts out on the event within the first couple days, and no longer had chars by Sunday. The money came from every Joe, Bob, and Sue from the GW towns and districts. I would bounce around and ask to help create the 15k images before all the gold was essentially deleted anyways, and stated the results would be posted here. Many people understood and fueled the cause. The Vasburg Armory town had pretty much full support of the goal and had many contributors.

We got to see a good amount there. A mesmer female 15k top, a warrior got 15k Helm and Chest, and 3 Full 15k sets (male Kurz-assassin, female Lux-assassin, and female-Kurz Ritualist).

Oh and as far as differences from 15k to 1.5k--the assassin armor at least, imo, has much nicer blades. They are far more eccentric. Bump into me and you'll be all kinds of diced. The cloth in between also looks much more intricate. 1.5k is just like a vest, pants, etc. The 1.5k assassin gear looks great. I think it was tough to create something nicer or more prestigious, but they were successful in doing so. What I really want to see is Assassin FoW *drools*.
