Yeah I had to get a new computer but before that I "redid" my whole computer whatever you want to say. Pretty much I've been through that "hell" about 4 times. I never want to go back.

But in all seriousness, that really blows man. Hope to see that monk of yours back soon, I've been feeling like going to TA the past few days and I'd rather have my buddy healing me than some random guy without a clue as to why Mending isn't really great for last-second heals...

lol, i had to do the EXACT same thing yesterday. I let it sit in login for a good while, got it up to 280 mgs streamed download... lol. ss'd it.

Post Ouch, but...
Anyone who's gone through a Half-Life 2 reinstall with updates (including Steam) knows true pain...especially if you have a few mods to go through. Took me basically a whole day, and since then countless more updates have been put out. Most of the time is in decrypting files.

Still that's a lot of downloading!
