LMAO! That looks really funny haha.
Here's what we've been up to...
Okay so... Tidus has been doing a great job just looking cute, pouty and hot most of the time while Iah's done a great job looking like a dork. :S
If looks could kill! (The scythe helps too)
And a classic.

Here's some out-takes of my and Nero's shoot:
http://users.tpg.com.au/aleksei//Nic...Nero_gw156.jpg
This was our HoH party, Nero and I you know... the Monk, Sandra Shyne, is my brother irl and the other Ele, King Bloupy, is GL of VoFK (who are supposably making a resurgence).
Jules trying to inspire the other models to work.
When all else fails, bring out the stink eye mask!
Eventually the all night shoot begins to take its toll on even Julius K Foxglove
edit: turned the top image into a link because it's too big

Someone requested that the contestants post shots that almost made it into submission. Since a few weeks have passed, I thought now might be a good time to do that. Here's the pose I had originally intended for week 1's assignment:
Basically, the cologne bottle, I thought, was slightly more the focus of this shot. Also, the mountain in the back was more visible and I thought the idea of Mt. of Olympus was more present in the shot and add(so the whole god thing might have been a bit more obvious). However, there were skill animations(the huge gold circle) that made this a risky choice since I had no idea how the judges would react, and, like I said, after I found what I was looking for, an accident along the way ended up more compelling. I hope other contestants might do this too; it would be an interesting read(at least for me).

Phew, good thing you chose the other one, I love that one much better. Not to say this is bad, but that one has more umph in it.

Agreed. I always hope when I look back on the screenshots I take that I can look at one and just say, "that's the one," before having to pick it apart.

Ok well since I'm leaving town tomorrow and won't be back until Monday, I had to take my shot before I left. Thankfully I'm pretty darn confident in it But, that also means I have some outtakes to share
So, here are a few of the rejects:
Loved the idea, hated the outcome - I mean the shot is cool and all, but it's dark and doesn't really say 'vanquish' to me
Can't. Quite. Breathe. Too. Much. Dust.
My sword isn't the only thing this big...
Oops - I'm not supposed to be the one vanquished
And finally...
You should have seen that guy...he was T H I S B I G

Haha I love Julius' outtakes. I can totally see him doing that if I ever did Hoh with him ^^;
And semus I like that idea, and I agree that more people should do that. It would be rather interesting to read.
Lucy I like the last one, hehe I can definatly see him taking about a Char he killed.

Too bad I only win the feedback thread, I can't come up with anything good for the application xD. The only decent pose I have is totally ruined by the aura, boohoo.
But at least Ren is cool, even when drunk. He knows what he's talking about. Yup, indeed.

I was pretty disenchanted by the judges comments (except for judge 1 - you're the only one who seems to understand where Jules is coming from) this week. Treasure hunter was probably one of the easier titles to work on so I really wanted to push myself and instead of getting an image of Jules with lots of treasure to focus on the actual hunting of that treasure and the danger that our heroes must face to reap their rewards. Needless to say this was a lot harder than I expected and getting a clean image that I was happy with was nigh impossible (I literally took over 100 shots to get one I was happy with). Only to receive comments such as 'I just think you took the easy way out'... damn that hurts. It's the second week in a row where the judges think I've missed my topic when I think I've nailed it, perhaps I'm just not cut out for this game.
Their comments re: lighting were spot on and I was aware of it, just not much I could do about it and because I was so happy with the image I guess I was willing to take a chance and run with it anyway. Here are some of my out takes:
This was my 'safe' shot. If I submitted this one I could understand judge 3's final comment.
I really like this one and the way the fire is curling around Julius' body, but it hides his face and so this was definitely only an out take.
http://users.tpg.com.au/aleksei//cropped_gw021.jpg
This one's too big to post in the body of this post. I think it's a great shot, but no good for submission because there's no treasure in shot at all and a great big -1 flying in the air from Jules powning it up with his sword
Oh well, hopefully I'll survive this round because I've been having lots of fun with the comp and I've been really impressed with the other models; it's a much tougher competition that I thought it would be.

Procrastinating time!
These are from the times when I first beat Nightfall harhar. Iah was(still is) such a nubcake. <3
This is the first idea I had for the first assignment(cologne) but was too scared to use it as a first picture since it's very very dark.
Quick! Someone /slap me and tell me to go back to work.

(I've got a couple niiiiice screenshots from yesterday's spontaneous Pink meetup, I'll edit&post them later)
