Default Obsidian Edge - Is it really THAT flat?

I've been reading comments about this sword on both Wikis, and it appears to be lacking any thickness.

I couldn't find and screenshot showing the sword in depth (mostly sideviews), so, is there anyone who could provide it, so I can make up my mind before I even try to get one?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for having no picture, but I saw 1 in D-Arena and it was very thin.

Here in the inventory shot you can see how thin it is.

Well, a blade being thin is pretty much ok to me.

What I wanted to see is wether the sword looks reasonably thin, like the Elemental Sword which is thin but definitely has some tickness, or if it looks like a badly modelled 3D blade with no Z-axis at all, just like the Rusty Machete, which is pretty much a floating texture.

this, imo it's a bad modelled 3D blade. the 3D effects you see on the hilt etc is just texture effects, fooling you into thinking it has depth.

... I agree, not convinced. It's better than I expected, but still not worth it IMO.

As bizarre as it sounds I'd never noticed just how silly it looks from some angles:

It still looks great form the side and is the only sword I've seen that goes with the tormented shield.

I won't use weapons or armour just for the bling factor (which is why I'm not wearing FoW - ugly as hell - still, it fills the HoM).

Has anyone seen a sword that suits tormented shields better than an obbi edge?

The tormented sword looks a little like a giant bubble blower to me. It doesn't really look like the sort of thing you'd hit people with.

Welcome to 2005 Guild Wars, where weapons are 1 pixel thick.

The Obbi Edge will give you a nasty paper cut, though. They hurt like you wouldn't believe.

Well, a lot of 2005 skins are actually much better modelled than the Obsidian Edge.
