I used to like the Crenellated a lot...but..it looks out of place now for some reason. Gotta go with the Dadao..Ive got 5-6 of them, yet I keep calling them "daddy-oh"s for some reason..

90% of the sword models in GW simply suck. They either lack elegance or they are too big (or both). The only sword that looks good as big as it is (in an anime kinda way), is the Fellblade and possible the Crennelated, too. But fortunately now with Factions there are Dadao Swords, Broadswords, Katanas, of course, and a few others. The Gothic Sword would be really nice, if it wasn't that oversized (thinner blade and ffs a smaller handguard!).

I think that they are kinda small -.- ... A female warrior has no problem wielding a phoenix blade, imagine that in a big male warrior. There should be at leas one or two huge blades with a size bigger than one of a flamberge.

Wingblade is still one of the best looking swords but you just can't beat the crystalline.
Oh how I pray I get a crystalline sword one day.

Swords i like...bolded is my fave.

Longsword - Large, simple, good proportions
Fellblade - Cool effects, dark and forboding :3
Katana - Its a katana....what else?!
Dadao - Good proportions
Gothic Sword - same reasons as longsword
Brutesword - Rusty thwacking weapon of doom!!
Celestial Sword - Kind of a shiny shiny katana
Shadow Sword - I love this design

one of the reasons i love brute swords is simple; if i see a guy charging at me with a sword, ill simply take one of mine off my wall and engage, since most people dont know how to use swords anyway.
but, if i see some guy charging me witha giant lawnmowerblade with a handle, im thinking this guys a friggin psychopathic killer with a penchant for bashing peopels skulls in with rusty semi-bladed dull objects; and im gunna run my ass off.

- Long sword / Flamberge (tied)

For the longest time I preferred the long sword... then I met the gothic...

The Katana is cool, though for me it doesn't really fit with my warrior (a European-styled knight), or as a one-hander. I like the sash/handle thing on the Broadsword, though it's blade is not anything like what I'd envision it to be.

I've never been a fan of the wingblade for some reason... sorta looks like it belongs in Final Fantasy not Guild Wars IMO.

Yep. Golden Phoenix blade is my favorite, only because my guild leader's monk has a +5 and -5 one for an energy swapping set, that and her monk looks amazing with it.

My warrior on the other hand, looks rather nice with either variety of Dragon Sword, and the Platinum Blade in combo with an Echovald Shield. On my warrior, though he's pretty short, the Golden Phoenix Blade is just not large enough to look like it could do any damage >.< Broadswords have to be next, with Crenellated being imo, the ugliest type of skin.
