yea i used to custom some old stuff, BUT...like some points made above you cant switch the weps to diff characters to use...the wep will be binded only to that 1 character 20% damage is nice yes for pvp..but for pve? is it really needed, rendering the weapon accessable to only 1 character just for maybe 5-10 extra damage with 15% damage mod to lvl 20+ mobs..really ppl i dont do pvp much and id rather keep my weapons open to everything and not just to 1 character im different yup i hate customizing.

and no knoll i used to custom weps in my newbie days right now...i dont realy see point in customizing items for pve imo

Can't say i feel your pain but this almost happened to me when i bought my 1st piece of fow armour; the warrior helm, and all but me and some dead guy remained on the team so i decided to show off a bit and started dropping all my perfect warrior weps and the helm. I then started picking them up and the second i picked the last item up the party was suddenly defeated cuz the eternal weaponsmith who gives you the forgemaster quest got attacked by a mob of skeles miles away and died failing the party... phew.
Unuther time was also in fow when i saw getting my necro set and i dropped 105ecto and 105 shards some way away from the rest of the party and the game got stuck cuz of lag... nearly crapped my pants as the whole party rushed at my stuff... luckily i picked it up jst in time... cant describe the relief.
Lesson learned: dont show off :P

Anyway sorry to see such a sword get wasted.

dude no point playing "oh i didnt mean to drop it" act, everyone knows when friends get together, specially friends with fow and those weapons, that its usual to dropping weapons so everyone can see them instead of going around trading it to everyone, we do it all ourselves.
PS:Say hi to Christina for me =P.

first i laughed but I ll just put some input, tough luck, be glad its just a req10 brute, now you know never to drop a gold crystalline or a magmas . You never know when you get error 7 or something happens in this game...Anet is full of surprises.

Why dont all the jealous people cut it out your behavior is rediculous. All the people flamming here would be just as upset if they lost their favorite item.

The treatment pupu has got is unfair and its upsetting that something like this happened to such a nice and helpful person.

Wow, that's really harsh. I know twice I've had to let out a long string of profanity after accidentally selling a weap, and once for an accidental salvage. Still really nice to see that your guildies were willing to help you replace it. Good friends are far more valuable then any item...

You have a crystalline sword and FoW armor...

Losing a Brute Sword shouldn't be THAT big of a deal :P

shane, if some people have FoW and a crystalline, that doesn't say that they're very rich in platinums, they could've had a bit of luck, that one good drop+ do you know the stats on that crystalline, it could be something totally different the Req 8, 15^50?

Pupu, sorry you lost it, I would also be pissed/sad
