Um...no blend tool.

copy with the good old polygon lasso tool.
paste
layer -> matting -> defringe -> 1 pixel
then i paint over the edges again using a soft airbrush incase the defringe made some ugly edges.

background is basically lens blured with a alpha mask using a black to white gradient from top to bottom. a quick mask would work just as well.

Then i went into each layer and added shadows on each other and on the rock so they dont look so flat.

Used the PSD of the Guild Wars logo from the official website.

easy but time consuming cutting it all out.

If you find pixel characters sexy, I think you should get out more often.

rofl.. I find it funny how people say " i make a girl character because i'd rather stare at girl butt" what's the point of staring at sum pixel character's butt anyway when you can look at real booty.. I mean I have girl characters myself but I didn't make them just so I can stare at their butt.

Well, neither did we! At least, I didnt. And who saying we DONT look at the real thing? Thats the kind of responses I dont get. Not just yours, but everyone who feels like that. I mean, honestly, if youre going to be staring at pixelated butt all day, Id want to be one that I can see myself enjoying in real life.
/heads back over to "that" website...
