Because everyone wants to be 1337.
not the first guild to do this, and certainly not the last. But check my weapon slot 1 in the corner...It makes it more applicable.

Jesus christ, 500kb for a 640x480 png? learn to use graphic editing software. Paint would do a better job than that with a jpeg.

.PNG is best used for solid colors with little variation when you need a lossless format for archival.
.jpeg is a completely outdated lossy format but fine for what you need here... |
