I don't think you understand my point.

Basically, I am saying that even if these are just 'prestige skins' then people who only play a few hours a day should still be able to get these without grinding. Why should people who play more, have access to better looking items?

The GW community in general are downright spoiled, you want everything handed to you in a silver platter. You can grind for this or don't bother and just get the much cheaper weapons that do the exact damn thing.

I was refering to the experience of having the rare, cool skin. For example, if you were a consistent(yet not hardcore) gamer, and a hardcore gamer came up to you and flashed you the weapon. You would most probably get jealous. With that feeling; that consistent player could feel downputted and begin to stop playing/buy future exansions.

Because those people who have played more will put their time and money into getting the weapon. Letting anyone get these won't make it unique and some of us actually want to have a different weapon skin compared to others.

If someone flashed me a weapon and I really liked it, I would feel the urge to go work for it and get it myself too or just buy it if I had the funds.

HKSdivision, I guess you have a point.

You said you'd feel the urge to get it, or buy it if you had the funds-.
I was talking about the people who don't have time to make money/gems. But, then again I guess not all none-hardcore gamers are poor

Did A.Net hire some crayon wielding chimps? Those skins are awful.

yes... my god, 3 mil for a sword, axe, or shield that would only suit a George Michael type of warrior... makes me sad I was so willing to grind for some time, getting me one of those weapons, but seeying all of them now just makes me wan't to scratch my eyes out

Well, at least I can flash my dead sword to show off looks cooler then a pink shield ^^

When I first saw the thread title I was hoping someone had finally gotten the Defender of Ascalon title.

On topic: How is that recurve bow being held? It looks like it should be a little higher so that middle part reaches the ranger's hands.

To sorry but this thread desended into spam. Summary of points:

- Aex and Short look weird
- Some people like Axe
- Flame/Complaining about their cost and some stuff to do with farming
- Posting random pictures of the A.net Art team which are true.

On that note designing odd looking weapons doesn't make them Elton John or anything like that.

Closing.
