Well, I answered my own question - took the plunge with Vabbian leggings. and the result?

The leggings, as you can see, sit lower on the waist, so they dont work with most of the full body armours. I think Istani is a notable exception, however.

Referring to a couple of pictures in this thread, am I the only person who finds Black Dye on the Warrior Primevil set to be hideous?

But i like it on male warrior sunspear, 15k ascalon and...well dervish 15k sunspear

In my opinion, Black works, but only with predominantly non metal pieces. The same goes for white really. Everybody knows white doesn't look particularly brilliant on obsidian warrior armour. Still, there are exceptions to the rule in any case. Generally, dyes that achieve a high level of contrast with the uncolourable sections of the armour look best and as warrior armour is mainly dark coloured, bright dyes tend to work the best.

im not afan of Primevil armor in general, and yes black dye looks awful on it

i also never understood the FOW helm obsession, if its not with a full FOW set it looks rediculous

Yeah, black on Primeval looks bad, the undyeable areas are light grey and the black looks too much on it. Especially in towns where armors are not detailed.

Probably one of the only warriors, if not the only, with a crystalline sword and 1.5k armors. Props for that
