Not really, unless you plan to dye them in a different color.
The elite version has an extra design and dyes darker than the regular version.

Made a Elona-Mesmer, she's rather pretty. ^^
Ms Femme Fatale's wardrobe was getting a little big, and I was always a fan of the docks 1k sunspear armor, so I thought I'd just make another mesmer and give her the prettyness that is the armor. ^^;

so just make another one......I have 2 mesmers, and 3 eles just cause I like my originals and like the new ones as well.....(unless of course you slots are all full, then I would say be happy with the wonderful mesmer you already have!)
