it doesnt. Last cycle, the top 5 was faced with double elimination, but there might or might not be a double elim this time. I'm only speculating.

Anyways! I'm so sorry Lunamaria! Your hot ele is missing in action! noooes. I think the judges are extremely harsh, but to be fair I wasn't really too confident in the assignment, (sorry judges, i know it seems as though im shifting the blame but it was a hard assignment to work on)

Congrats Melly btw! Prettiies.

Geishe, Freaky Starfish Lady, didnt recognise ur post ^^

I'll always be ur faithful customer <3

Are we allowed to have combos of the three armor sets listed?

Absolutely! You may mix and match the three listed armor sets as you see fit.

It does get frustrating trying to work with the heroes and the flag, like I mentioned, working with a buddy controlling the hero is the easiest to conceal the flag! But it is definitely possible to do it by yourself! So don't fret if you're not getting it right away!

Exclamation Photoshoot Assignment 08: Land Of Heroes - Evaluations

Let's get it started...in alphabetical order...

Arala Starsong
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...laStarsong.jpg

Judge 01: This picture is very Indiana Jones as you mentioned, it really does, I can picture your sword acting like a torch and you two just venturing inside the ruins.

Judge 02: The picture would've been more striking for me if you didn't have the paragon wings. I think they're pointless and just distracting, one thing to have them for something like a Victoria Secret Angel, but for an adventurer, not so much, it's not realistic, it's not believable.

Judge 03: It's the details that really throw me off, both of your swords are positioned in such a way like you're about to decapitate each other. The wings are a tid bit unnecessary as mentioned earlier, but besides that, I do see adventurer.

Bierflesjes Klauw
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...esjesKlauw.jpg

Judge 01: I think a lot of you just figured that throwing in animations makes your picture more heroic, but this isn't science fiction that we're going for, we're looking for a model acting heroic, not a model behind a green screen for star wars effects.

Judge 02: I don't understand the need for all the animations, we complain about divine aura being a distraction, we complain about the enchantments, and these animations are by far worst. A lot of you have to be more aware of the details that you bring into your shots.

Judge 03: Agreed, animations have to go. They don't serve a purpose in fashion unless they're trying to exaggerate the sparkle of jewelry. Effects are eyecatching, thats what's they are for, sparkles on a diamond make you look at the diamond so you will buy it. So having these effects around you just makes us eyed the effects which doesn't add to your picture and we lose you in the process.

Lokii Dia
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...e/LokiiDia.jpg

Judge 01: I love the posing, I like how you pulled off a more fashionable crouching pose. Your legs are extended forward, to emphasize length.

Judge 02: The wings are off for me, no surprise there, but I do like the picture, I just don't like the crop job, it would've been better if you just kept the width to a minimum with just you and Koss, because there is a lot of empty space present, which I think is there because you wanted the statues.

Judge 03: This is the most heroic as far as concept goes for me. I really do think the wings look especially bad in this case though, I recently saw Epic Movie, and if you seen it, you might agree that the wings on Koss kinda resembles the chicken wings from the main character. Nonetheless, when its all said and done, I still say this is my favorite as a whole, concept-pose.

Miss Melly
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z.../MissMelly.jpg

Judge 01: The picture is good, but something about it isn't as striking as the others for me. The concept is strong, but the pose is weak and slightly gimmicky.

Judge 02: I love the concept, I love that you used Dunkoro. It makes complete sense to me, you ARE the hero, and he is your side kick, he heals you on the sideline, and you are the main hero, you are the main focus.

Judge 03: I agree, I thought it was genuis on your part that you selected Dunkoro because he is the sideline healer, and you wanted to be that main character. I also agree that his noble stature complements your mesmer's noble persona as well.

Szei Ren
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...ve/SzeiRen.jpg

Judge 01: I don't see the heroism that we really wanted to get from everyone in your shot. It was stressed in the assignment, and even in the questions, we really wanted that heroic shot, and this isn't it for me.

Judge 02: The fact that both of you are dancing, and that Koss has that peace sign over his face, makes it really hard for me to take this shot as a serious hero shot.

Judge 03: I think its a pretty picture, but I have to agree and say it fails as far as concept goes. This isn't heroic, or at least, not the heroism that we we're expecting, after all this could be heroes in happy hour after a victory.

Alright guys, we have our scores and will deliberate shortly, so I wish you all good luck!!!

Wow, Lokii, I love your shot! My favourite this week, although it's hard to choose.

(And I agree about the wings being distracting in mine... but they're just so cool, I've been itching to use them ) Results tomorrow..ooh, I'm nervous!

arala!you have no reason to be nervous your picture was awesome

I'm still trying to figure out what they thought of my shot other than the animations like..did they see the shot as fit to the assignment?was it a good or horrible shot all around? I guess since they didnt mention any of it it means its total crap butwhatever lol

The judging has me really questioning alot. I loved Arala's shot, seemed definate motw and wasn't too fond of some of the ones the judges found good. Its like some pictures they don't apply the same judgment to as they do the others. But good luck anyway...

I like Szei's and Arala's best. How don't you get "heroic" in Szei's. It looks like they are hunting and Szei is looking and Koss has his hands over his eyes to look for prey. That's just my interpritation.
