Beyoncee and Miss Melly did there pictures on email, which they uploaded rather than sending a link, so I can't show there pictures yet, but they are more than welcomed to post their pictures if they can!

lol, thats as clear as reviews as you're gonna get, I'm not spending another minute trying to read through the transcript lol but in all seriousness, you can always personally request for a more in depth evaluation, i try to pinpoint the bigger, more general problems, and then work down to the smaller details.

Oh wow, very nice shots from everyone! Especially Szei's is just stunning... girl, you're a star! Arala's shot was breathtaking too, although I agree with the judges that it lacks a sense of movement. In all the hong kong action movies I've seen, they usually hold that pose for a few seconds to minutes before actually moving. Mango, yours was amazing too although the tight cropping from bottom and top kind of bothers me. Otherwise, wow!

Aah, I still want to see Miss Melly's piccie... :3

btw, I'm confused about these judges again.

MOTW = Arala Starsong. Her picture is so good. Not as good as the one she posted in the other thread - but still amazing.

If she not MOTW, not to cause drama but my next post will prolly be filled with swear words, lolol.

Haha, I love you, you're such a teamplayer.

I loved Arala's too, it really did remind me of HK action films!! Especially the ones in Shaolin temples and such... great nostalgia!

But following the dynamic movement theme, I must agree that Arala's kung fu shot is a beautiful pose, but not a full out action shot. It's all up to the judges in the end.

Caleb, please keep your temper in check. It won't help you on the long run if you try to control the judges decisions every time by throwing a hissy fit.

I also agree that Arala's shot is beautiful, but it just lacks the movement needed for this assignment. Beauty is always appreciated, but it doesn't necessarily rack up points if it doesn't quite fit with the assignment. However, she clearly displays talent that will probably keep her in the contest for a long time.

I dunno, I think it has a lot of movement going on.

And I'm not trying to control the judges decisions - they've already made their scores and everything. If her picture isn't MOTW, then any other photo they put on the cover for this week just won't be worth it.

All imo of course.

Thanks guys It's nice to read all of that, even if I don't agree with you Caleb! :P My pic wasn't as dynamic as some of the others, and if that was the assignment, I should have followed that. Szei's pic for MOTW imo. (although it's so flattering to see such nice comments from Perynne and Mortissia! <3)

I love Bierflesjes's pic, that's just gorgeous. And Mila's as usual was beautiful as well.

Gah.. well, I guess I am the worst this time. I agree now the bow was a bad choice and it sticking into the Minotaur was really bad as well as was the lighting. I guess I was just a little frustrated with shots and decided to not think safe and go with this.. (I should've probably picked this instead:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ahEcrop995.jpg)

I do think everyone else did great, and my favorites are Szei Ren's, Arala Starsong's and Bierflesjes Klauw's.

"There are literally "lights and action" in the shot, and the angle emphasizes the direction of movement making it a very striking picture."

Judge 1: Very stunning shot, one of my favorites, there are a lot of tiny imperfections here and there, the glitches, but all in all, I love the shot. I really do look at this, and think back to Xena and her battle with Callisto on the beach, and you do look like Callisto to some extent.

Judge 2: I think this is the best shot as far as achieving a dynamic action shot. I almost want to say that this is like one of those Final Fantasy special attack moves where you're charging up your weapons and about to unleash raw energy. Good shot all around!

Judge 3: I really like this shot, but as Judge 1 mentioned, there are a lot of tiny imperfections that really add up. I don't like the glitch of your hair and head.
This just makes me wonder are the judges really up to the task? I mean "tiny glitches". I didn't even notice them personally, they are not overwhelming at all and I don't mean to be mean but none of you in those comments even mentioned the fact that for example in Arala's picture her waist disappears completelly due to a glitch of the 3D model's bones that make the waist squeeze inwards and she looks pretty deformed to me. I would say that is a glitch that is bothersome. So always complaining about Szei's "glitches" and Szei's "aura" here and ignoring everyone else is now fair and professional? Seriously, what do you expect from a game that is FULL of these glitches. Being limited by "tiny glitches" is definatelly more of a bad thing than good. You'll never be able to see truly great pictures if this is all you care about. You should be paying more attention to the picture dynamics as a whole and the message it is trying to convey and not just get stuck on itty bitty little details unless they REALLY are standing out.

Well that was just my painfully honest opinion. I really do hope you take those things into account when judging even if you always like to make a point of how we, "the audience" don't see all sides. I just really think that we should! We ARE the audience afterall.

Second about what I said of Arala's picture wasn't meant to be mean to her but I needed to make the comparison and I'm sorry. On the contrary Arala's and Szei's pictures here are my favourites this time around. Szei's unarguably has the most action in it for me. The cropping also adds to it and is clearly made by someone who has knowledge about picture composition and dynamics and how it will affect the viewing of said picture. Arala's picture is great in the aspect of color composition and the idea. I have to admit I totally loved the picture in the other thread more because of the hips deformation going on in this one. Arala's pictures are screaming "ninjas" to me. The simple black outfit, the aggressive red background props and the asian atmosphere make her stand out a lot. Those are great pictures that you should be proud of so good work girls.

I agree I hardly notice the glitches in Szeis picture, they didn't mention glitches in any of the other pictures when even mine had more glitches in it. I guess you have to know the vabbian armor to tell they are huge glitches though x.x And Arala's makes her monk look of kind of anorexic, great shot though when you're looking at it as a whole though
And I have to agree with everyone else Szei and Arala definitely have the best shots even if Arala's isn't very action-y

Arala's makes me think of tai chi.

Szei, consider that the judges went hunting for missing hair pixels because they couldn't find anything else to criticize!

Exclamation Week 03 MOTW/Elimination Results

I'm sure everyone is anxiously awaiting, so here are the results! (anyone else getting bad site lag?)

Arala Starsong - 10, 07, 08 = 25
Beyoncee Knowlez - 08, 05, 06 = 19
Bierflesjes Klauw - 07, 09, 10 = 26
Lokii Dia - 01, 04, 02 = 07
Lunamaria Cruz - 03, 04, 07 = 14
Mila Fox - 06, 03, 05 + 3 = 17
Miss Melly - 05, 08, 04 = 17
Mojave Mango Juice - 04, 01, 03 = 08
Sarah Eleanore - 02, 02, 01 = 05
Szei Ren - 09, 10, 09 = 28

That means, Bierflesjes Klauw and Szei Ren are up for MOTW, while Lokii Dia and Sarah Eleanore are up for elimination.

Bierflesjes Klauw - We thought your picture was gorgeous and would fill any high art gallery. It was very glamorous with a hint of couture.

Szei Ren - Your picture was absolutely riveting! Capturing such a strong and fierce pose in motion was just meticulous on your part.

With that said, congratulations to this week's MOTW!

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/3203/03motwba6.jpg

For winning MOTW, you may pick one of two special prizes...

1. An in game prize of three globs of ectoplasm.

Or.

2. A competition prize of three additional points added to your score for your next photoshoot assignment.

Please get back with me with your decision to your nearest convinience.

For eliminations...

Lokii Dia - Your first picture was so strong, your application pictures were strong...but lately, you're spiraling down hill for us, we wonder if you can bring back that strong model side of you that we've seen before.

Sarah Eleanore - For us, your performance in this competition has been inconsistant. You do poor one week, then improve the next, and then fall right back to the start.

And this week, both of you hid your features and assets, but only one of you will leave this competition this week...

http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/6...inationuy9.jpg

Congratulations to our MOTW and to everyone who made it to the next round of competition, and of course to our eliminated contestant for making it this far!

Arrow Photoshoot Assignment 04: Tyria's Next Top Mama

Models work with undpredictable elements all the time. From wild animals, to bracing mother nature, to unruly children! Today in the states is of course, Mother's Day! So in tribute to that, for this week of competition, each of you will be asked to portray a mother with kid(s).

There are many of children npcs running around all over Guild Wars, so find the best one(s) suited for you and try to create a happy mother & son/daughter moment!

After selecting the right shot, please send it along with the following question(s) answered:

1. Why did you pick the npc that you did?

2. Explain what is going on in your picture.

This assignment is due May 18, 2007

Good Luck and Have Fun!
