May sound stupid but why do ppl like to collect things such as 250 runes of DOOM? No value, no use, lots of time wasted.

Yes it does sound stupid.
I collected them because of a guild joke, and have since made a LOT of people titter by showing them at random.
No monetary value, but it makes people smile
I could use them to create DOOM and activate shrines
I was doing LB runs with a friend and he had to go afk. I said I'd wait, so I didn't waste any time by making them instead of sitting twiddling my thumbs for 5 minutes.

The reason Ascalon fell is because the kept "Heal Other" to themselves! D:<

You'll notice the academy monks use it but our monking characters in pre can't...Laame. My monk is still awesome without it though, as you can clearly see here
