I must say when I finally got enough money to get fissure I was going crazy because non of the PUG's could make it to the forgemaster with me.

Then I saw it...male fissure..its sooo damn UGLY.

The whole set of armour is out of place because of the large chest piece.
The female version looks alot better just for the fact that the chest isn't huge.

I blew the money on weapons

It's, like knives said, fissure armor, and all types of fissure armor look the exact same.

As far as the argument about fissure/no fissure goes :

Once you have a lot of money, and you're running around with perfect stats on your gear, what else is there to buy ? In my case (i have a female warrior (axe)) another req8 15>50 axe with perfect mods ? and then another, and another ? I already own 2 perfect axes, and a bunch of shields and gimmics, so yes, i bought fissure, why ? easy, because i liked the way it looked, and i had the money to buy it, and i had nothing else i realy needed to spend it on.

Now i mostly play pvp, and my pve fissure warrior just sits around, waiting for the moment i feel like doin' some high lvl area, or help guildies. I never, ever use her for pvp, i only use pvp-only chars for pvp (and, oh irony, those are quite often warriors). But do i regret buying fissure ? nah, i don't, love how she looks, and she's still my all time favourite character.

But indeed, everyone is entitled an opinion, i just felt like sharing mine

The day they "fix" the male warrior chest piece I shall buy Fissure Armour.
The rest of the set look really well.
Right now I'm just looking for weapons here and shields there.

I actually really would like to have fissure armour yet my warrior already looks big, and I dont want a fatty boom boom running around yelling "Watch yourelf!".

i initially had doubts about male warrior fissure, but like with anything, you outgrow the few things you dont like, and the armor becomes a part of your character.
as for the chest piece being too big, its not that much bigger than other warrior types, however, if the warrior has a cape it looks SIGNIFICANTLY larger than it actually is (plate is actually a tad bigger).
but yeah, if you've ever seen real armor (and i'd hazard a guess that very few of you have), the chest sticks out MORE than fissure in real armors, simply to absorb the shock of taking a blow.

it's not that the whole chest piece is sticking out really far making you look all chunky, it's that it's flat-ish just below the neck, then you move down, and THAT is where it starts sticking out, effectively giving you manboobs. :P

which, in my opinion, gives a really goofy look, here you are in these tiny leggings (that make your legs look way too long).. anyway, it gives new meaning to 'barrel-chested'.

i guess what i'm getting at is that it's very disproportioned.

Why are all the FoW armors spikey? Though, I like the female ranger armor above.

No only certain parts of the robe itself gets dyed.
Fissure armours are spikey because they're made from odsidian shards which are spikey. They are also from the Fissure of Woe which is a "evil" place so spikes are on them just like they are on the armour and robes of shadow warriors and spellcasters.
