you sound surprised and i can't figure out why. 99.9% of anyone who uses that chest will ultimately lose money. it's basically a cash sink for a title.

like did you really expect something out of it?? most of the times you will lose money unless you get extremely lucky and 300k is not that much to be honest. You should only open the zchest for fun and if you have a little extra cash you can afford to lose.

Just imagine how much those guys with r10 spent and how equally bad their luck was as well.

I count ~73 items there so what price did you get those keys at or you opened the chest more times and picked up any golds/valuable items for the entertainment value of it looking like you had bad luck.

Judging from the pic I say you picked up a few items since opening the chest creates a uniform circle of items and in your pick its lop sided to the left of the pic. Still nice though lol

PS also as what others have said did you expect anything less when doing the Z Chest.

your actually right, I started picking up the items, then I thought to take the screen shot, so I dropped them again, as for the keys,I had a few from doing JQ also

Ask any player who uses zchest alot and they will tell you that most of it will be crap or sweets/booze etc.
Heck - think of the economy if everyone had gd stuff from it :S
I do have to ask but does the op get upset if he opens hm chests and gets purple item ?

The thing that amazes me here is that you post your titles , and i couldnt help but notice you're r7 Zaishen , you'd think that by now you know what are your chances of getting good stuff out of the chest.

I put 530 keys in the other week, got sod all, and didn't expect to either.

The chest has almost nothing worth much, even a q9 Crysta is nothing I would fuss over, only 300e+ range, which is nothing compared to the keys I put in from time to time.

Why the hell would you be surprised?

I find this a little ironic in that, to buy a zashen key, I must farm 7 unid'd golds. I have literally had in my possesion 10's of thousands of gold weapons, which I have used to max the wisdom title, and to sell for Zkeys. So as far as the economy you are refering to... also if I was opening the chest for golds, why would I trade 7 golds for the chance at 1 gold?

It wasn't my intention for this to be a QQ post, I just found the image humorous, The whole process does seem to be a little odd don't you think?

if you had 100 million gold what could you buy? A zaishen title and what else?

Since each title rewards the same amount from hom, I'd buy the cheaper titles or other game stuff.

Once my hom was 50/50 it didn't get a dime more. I'd rather get a full hom on a 2nd account than the zkey title.

I assume most people who get this title either pvp or have all the cool stuff they want already. It's funny, I remember zkeys at 4k and most people saying there's no way they'd waste that much money on a title. A year or so later and it's amazing how many of you have done it.

There is no money or time barrier arenanet can throw at us that some wont break for a reward.
