We are the Charter Vanguard, a fun-loving guild formed for the purpose of playing Guild Wars, long before the game was ever available. This is a testament not only to our love of and dedication to this game, but also that we just enjoy spending time with each other.

To promote group bonding, CV holds fun and unique events, including regular forum competitions and role play. In-game, CV organizes both officer and member-led events; such as hard mode/dungeon runs, acceptance ceremonies, prank GvGs, seasonal parties for Christmas, Valentine's and Halloween's, as well as machinima filming, toon acting and voice acting.

Since 2007, it became apparent that CV's rising popularity had far outgrown the capacity of one guild. Thus the decision was made to expand into two guilds under one alliance, with the intent of running both guilds as one. So far it has been a roaring success, with the possibility of a third guild in the near future.

Despite the large numbers we have, CV maintains a strong focus on keeping everyone close knit and satisfied, emphasizing the importance of friendship and never leaving any man behind. Courage, Honesty, and Respect.

We have a long and storied history dating back to 2004, having survived many organizational crises but emerging the better for each experience. We are now stronger than ever, and ready for whatever new challenges and bounties the future may bring.
