Default Thunder From Down Under [TfdU] is Recruiting

Thunder From Down Under [TfdU] is a Luxon guild that caters to mature experienced PvE players. Our membership is primarily North American but we also have several members from Europe and Australia. We are a mid-sized guild with a strong core that enjoys elite missions, title hunting, farming, HM, and anything else that sounds fun at the time. We are looking for a few mature, active, friendly players from any region to join in on the fun.

About TfdU

- Our members are very experienced at all elite areas. Although we do speedclears from time to time we are not an SC guild. We like to complete these areas using a variety of builds to keep things interesting. These can range from balanced builds to help someone get a statue for HoM on a particular char to just trying something different using professions we haven't used much in a while.
- We are constantly learning from each other. Every member has something to offer and makes valuable contributions to how we do our runs. We encourage offering new ideas and have no tolerance for elitist attitudes.
- We are happy to teach if someone is new to a run or would like to learn a farm. We do not exclude and noone will be criticized for not being familiar with an area. We also conduct specific training runs for things like UWSC, FOWSC, MQSC, etc as needed by our members and allies.
- We have several members with GWAMM who can offer advice on how to max titles.
- We are Luxon.
- Age range with few exceptions is early twenties to late thirties. We have a few members over 40 as well as a select few in their late teens.
- We are not faction farmers and have no faction requirement. Although we have owned a town with our alliance in the past the faction numbers have been a side effect of members working to max luxon titles rather than an effort to maintain a faction total for the guild.
- We are a friendly group and we like to joke around. Our emphasis is on having fun.
- TfdU is primarily a PvE focused guild although we do have members who enjoy PvP and join in on HA or GvG from time to time.
- We are a member of the Phantom Commandos [PC] alliance. This is a new alliance we formed with PC that in an international PvX alliance. We have guilds that are both European as well as primarily North American. We have guilds that are PvE focused as well as PvP focused guilds to offer a little of both for everyone.

Member Expectations

- As a guild TfdU is focused on elite missions, HM, farming, etc and is comprised primarily of very experienced players. To be a good fit for the guild, members should have an interest in these things and must be capable of joining in on these runs. This means they should have at least one profession able to run in the elite areas in HM and be aggressively working to get others able to run to provide more opportunity to join in groups.
- We do not expect members to be experts at all of the runs we do. We are happy to teach. We do expect members to be competent players eager to learn and join in on the fun.
- Members should make an effort to join in on guild runs. It is by no means a requirement to join in on EVERY run but if someone never runs with the guild what is the point in being a member?
- Ability to run Ventrilo is preferred. For newer members needing to be taught the runs getting on vent is essential.
- Spamming, begging, or whining is not tolerated.
- Our membership is of mature age and the conversation can reflect that at times so members should not be easily offended. With that being said excessive profanity, vulgarity, or anything graphic in nature is not welcome.
- Show respect for your guildies and allies at all times.
- Guild and allies are happy to answer questions but do not take advantage of this. Don't be too lazy to look it up yourself.
- Many of your fellow guildies are very generous individuals once they get to know you. Do not beg for items especially when you are new to the guild. If you are a recipient of this generosity be sure to reciprocate when the opportunity arises. Someone always asking for and receiving handouts but never giving any will not be looked upon favorably.
- Some parts of the game are difficult to do on your own, however, most of the game can be accomplished fairly easily. Ask for help when you need it but do not expect handholding through the majority of the game. There may also be a fellow guildy or ally at the same point in the game so feel free to ask. We are a social bunch and most would prefer the company as opposed to questing alone if the opportunity exists.
- Have FUN!!! GW is a game.
