Default The Everlasting Sacred Path, for GW and GW2

Greetings, and welcome to [ESP],

Who we are --

The [ESP] Guild was formed in Guild wars on June 18th, 2005. We started out small (maybe a dozen or so people) but grew slowly and steadily. The goal was never to recruit a whole bunch of people but rather to find new friends whose company we enjoyed while exploring the game together. In those days I used to laugh at the idea that the guild would ever reach 100 people. As the guild grew larger we were able to pull off more ambitious projects such as delving into competitive PvP and hosting our own holiday parties and events. In 2006 [ESP] was recognized as a 'Guild of the Week' by ArenaNet.

I list our humble beginnings because today the membership in [ESP] is up around 150 members (arranged within two guilds) and I do not want to make us out to sound like some huge, spiraling juggernaut. The emphasis on friendship and camaraderie are the same as the first day when the guild was created. We have simply found that it is possible to continue to grow and expand without losing sight of our original vision.

One of the tricks to helping a guild survive for the long term is that you always want to be adding a little bit of something 'new' to the mix. We like to meet new people and if the they are the right fit, then they become part of the guild and add their own unique style to our legacy. This is where you come in.

A few quick, final details:
  • We are 18+
  • We lead our own, full Kurzick Alliance
  • We actively use ventrilo and have our own highly customized forums. Use of these is recommended but not required
  • Our member base is international
  • We find vodka, pants, crumpets, and platypi all very amusing
  • We are PvX and can be found playing all aspects of PvE and PvP- from early game quests to GvG
  • We actively take part in shenanigans
  • Aside from this post, no one will ever admit to the shenanigans though

What we expect of you --

As you can guess from above, we like to inject a fair amount of humor into all that we do and this is an important aspect of the guild. We value personality over skill and win or lose, the important thing is that we made the journey together and created some new tales to talk about later.

We are very much a social guild, so we look for outgoing people who are willing to take part in guild activities when they are available, interested in communicating with us over vent, and willing to watch our forums for updates and also provide their own feedback.

Since we are international, with a large member base, I encourage people to give us a try no matter where in the world you may be located. Chances are good that you will always have some guildies around to game with no matter the time zone.

If there is anything that I have not covered in this post or if you would simply like to get a better feel for what we are all about, I encourage you to have a look at our forums located at http://www.espguild.com You are also welcome to contact me any time in game - Karuna Vajra

Take care, and we look forward to hearing from you,

~Karuna Vajra
