Indepth information about Horizon

Horizon is a small, 21+ guild wars 2 guild based in the UK. We are a casual and social guild of friends who are excited by excellent teamwork in the face of challenging content. We expect to play regularly and take it semi-seriously when it comes to planned group content, although our general style is playful and irreverent. We have members that comprise of people who have busy lives outside of the game with careers and family that cannot adhere to the strict requirements of other guilds but love to take on challenging content no matter what format that maybe. The guilds primary focus will be geared towards PvE and WvWvW, with no requirements on play times or pressure to level to maximum level as soon as humanly possible in fact, quite the opposite, as we encourage members to take their time and explore all that guild wars 2 has to offer. We are proud to welcome MMO veterans as well as new comers a like.

Mentality & goals

Our goal is to have 40 regular members who are casual, social and light hearted PvP enthusiasts willing to take part in WvWvW and enjoy exploring the PvE aspects of the game with equal enthusiasm. We expect members to be proactive by making use of the guilds website and voice communication server. Loyalty plays a major part in our guild, we will be loyal in helping you and we expect the same loyalty towards the guild in return. This guild is against multiple guild membership due to conflict of interest.

Recruit
These are personnel who have recently joined the guild. All recruits are encouraged to contribute on any and all levels. We have an open door policy, This means your encouraged to communicate with all the guilds members, regardless of rank. Remember, the door is always open.

Member
This rank is for the bulk of the guild and are all personnel who have proven their worth as an integral part of the guild. All personnel can attain this rank. Their duties consist of upholding the principles of the guild and maintaining our good name with in the community. A member should be an example of what our values are all about.

Veteran
This rank is reservered for former officers of the guild. As a veteran you will never be removed from the guild for inactivity. A minimum service of 6 months is required for retiring officers to receive this rank.

Officer
The officer roles will be filled by the most pro active and loyal members of the guild. Everyone at or above member rank is eligable to fill an officers role, however this is ultimately decided by a guild vote. Their duties consist of helping forum members, arbitrating disputes, keeping tally of guild action participation, being contact points for new members and future applicants, managing in game guild resources, organizing guild meetings and events and provide administrational support and assistants for the guilds website and voice communication server.

Guild Master
The over all leader of the guild. As well as the officer duties the guild master also moderates and maintains the forum and voice communication server, sends news letters informing members of all new guild developments, and managing the rights, ranks and awards of all members of the forum.
