Default Looking for advice for Thirsty River

There are spoilers here for Thirsty River, so stop reading if you don't want to know...

I've been basically living in Thirsty River for the past few days, joining/starting groups over and over in a vain attempt to get past my third trial. Sadly, after dozens of attempts with other people, the further I've gotten was past the first group. Only past the first group!!

So today, I tried using only henchman, and I can get past 3 out of 6 groups easily, but I'm stuck now.

In the group that is messing me up, the boss is also a monk. The timeline for my attack on the first 3 groups looks kinda like this:

0:05 Attack first wandering trio of monsters
0:55 Trio of monsters is dead
1:00 Sprint past second trio of monsters and boss, to kill the priest
1:35 Priest dies
1:40 Attack second trio of monsters and boss, depending on threat level

This approximate timeline works all the time for the first three groups of monsters. But when the boss is a monk, I just can't manage to kill the priest before 2:00 and the monsters respawn.

The boss' heals are very powerful and easily wipes away any damage I do to the priest. The priest uses Aegis (50% block rate) and Reversal of Fortune (which is basically a heal) over and over again. If I try attacking the boss first, I can't kill it before 2:00.

I am a Warrior/Monk. So far, my best attempt was to use an Axe and bring two interrupting skills (distracting blow and disrupting chop), but it's impossible to shutdown the boss, while I'm simultaneously attacking the priest.

what if you change your timeline replacing the priest with the monk, but let the monk live until after the 2 minute mark? will the rest of his team rez, but without the monk? then if you can kill the priest before 4 minutes is up the monk won't respawn, but even if he did, the priest would stay dead wouldn't he?

i just started this, and i'm just offering strategical suggestions.

all u have to do for this is notice how the mobs come in groups. some will stay back and some will attack. clear out 1 group, then rush the priest. it works for every fight.

Okay, from what you said about the boss healing the priest, I know what part you are stuck on. What I did was invited a ranger into the group (a competent one...) and I had him snipe the patrolling group on the third round (where it is 1v3), the patrolling group is tied to the priest with the Monk boss, after that group is down, you then open the gate and rush the priest (the timer does not start until the ghostly hero opoens the gate, so you save about twenty seconds).
