Default WOW. Lomar's Pass is crazy.

Ok, Ive tried 20 times with a group of 6 humans..

Ice Imps > me even with mending, healing breeze, live vicariously, endure pain..

They kill in 2-3 shots and do 100+ damage each shot..

So im not suppose to explore there until im LVL20?

GG.

I went to Lomar's pass at about level 13...I died a few times, but it was worth it as the monsters dropped a staff which was pretty damn good at that point.

My two friends farmed Lomar's Pass and got like 2 quick levels and a bunch of really nice stuff in a night, going from 15-17, and 16-18 respectively.

so i take it the game developers presumed that every on would have 3+ lvl 20 characters with them. I have tried the pass over 10 times now ...... with humans and henchmen. I can't find any1 who wants to travel with me because i am lvl 15. I have done every quest that i can find from before Lormars pass and am now stuck....... begining to think this game might have been a big fat waste of $90!

You don't HAVE to do Lormars pass.
I went out yesterday with a lvl 17 dedicated monk, a lvl 18 dedicated monk, a level 18 E/W, and level 18 R/E, a level 20 W/Mo, and myself a lvl 19 W/Mo. We made it a little ways, but then were quickly destroyed by the worms. This is definately a job for 6 19's and 20's or 5 monks and one warrior....like that would work.

There are two paths, use the other one as Lormars Pass is optional.

We tried Lornar's Pass last night. Let's see, there was 20 R/W (me), 20 E/Me, 20 W/E, 17 R/Me, 16 Mo/E, and Alesia the Worthless. We made it through the first area after probably 2 hours and 20 deaths each LOL. The worms aren't so bad once you get a good tank sicked on them. The problem arises from the mass numbers of other creatures, and the lack of any kind of "rest stop". When you die, you get to jog all the way back, which gets old fast. To top off the frustration, when we finally got to the next area, in my excitement I jammed "Print Screen" to get a screenshot. Well, unbeknownst to me prior to last night, there was a button on my keyboard directly above "Print Screen" labled "Power". There was no "Are you sure you want to do this?" disclaimer as there is on every other freaking thing on my computer. Just BAM shutdown.

I have good friends, they laughed about it. However, that button and the one that was next to it (labeled "Sleep" IIRC) were removed from the keyboard with extreme prejudice (and a pocket knife).

After that I decided to try to further myself in the storyline. A buddy and I tried to do Elona's Reach. LMAO

Needless to say, I wasn't a very happy camper when I shut Guild Wars off last night. So far, I would have to say the 2 hardest areas in the game that I have seen are Lornar's Pass and Elona's Reach... in no specific order.

The worms were hilarious. I mentioned it was like watching Tremors when our warrior was running around and they would pop out and knock him down.

Why don't you try walking out the other gate??? The one that goes West. The one that all the quests in the zone tell you to go out??.

You're not even half way through the game yet =). So don't start the "this is a waste of money because I can't figure out where to go when I'm told by every NPC if I read the quests" thread.

Just to clarify a bit. There are two exits in Beacon's Perch, Deldrimor Bowl (to the North) and Lornar's Pass (to the South). Deldrimor Bowl will get you to the next part of the game, which is Griffon's Mouth, Gates of Kryta and eventually Lion's Arch.

The reason Lornar's Pass is so difficult is that it takes you to areas that you can't get to through missions until after you've ascended--the Southern Shiverpeaks. It is not off limits or anything, but you've got no business being there if you're not high level, with elite skills, with top-notch armor. Unless, of course, you like the challenge of facing creatures twice or three times your own level...

I don't recall your IGN Mr. IOU but when I ran with some toons that was also mentioned. Still haven't gotten through the narrow pass between the mountains because of those pesky wyrms. Literally dying to see whats beyond but have yet to find a party that will allow us all through yet.

Ok first of Elona's Reach is alright but its still easy. Go to the Underworld and the Firrure then tell me what 2 quests/missons are hardest in game

the thing is ive tried running/ "sprinting" through to at least get to a wp...but there isnt one til further, which i actually got very close to it, but still havent reached.hehe

the items there are good to sell for a good amount of gold and exp is great.

so this area isnt part of the storyline which means you cant do a mission and portal there.darn. i guess i can wait.
i try now and then to run through, when i got nothing to do in particular.
my main purpose to get there is get an elite skill that i want on my build, but i guess i can alternate 'til im stronger. (lvl.20-just need the "elite armor")

aha, I try to run through it every now and then too, furthest I've gotten is to some Mountain Trolls (which I think was a wrong turn.. *grrrr*). I don't see how you can kill those worms, they always go back down as quickly as they pop up.

Once you start stacking damage onto the worm you can keep them there attacking a tank, but however even if you have the 70AC armour they do a horrible amount of damage.
