He's right where you get the quest. You need to plant a second set of explosives to clear the ice flow there.

Yes, this can be a bit difficult for many people, I had gone through it three times, twice with players and once with henchmen, before I finally turned the camera enough to see that it really was holding back a large amount of snow and looked like admittance to a cave.
I had kept dragging back explosives towards the entrance with gates that looked like ones you destroy further ahead and nothing. A bit more openness on what can be done would really help, with explosive targets labeled clearer.

Yeah, I had some trouble finding that one out also. Maybe they could somehow mark the targets, something like highlight them in yellow or something *shrugs*

You need to place the explosive barrels off to the right of the snowslide. As you look at the slide, go over to the right side of it and then go forward as far as possible (as far as you can go before the cliff stops you). You have to blow the barrel there to start another snowslide that will clear the cave entrance.

Just spent ages lugging kegs about and discovered that the information given is correct up to a point. You DO need to shift the snow drift but you need to blow up the wall holding it in place just to the rhs.

I was just going to reply with this... I ran back and forth for half an hour trying to place the powder keg in just the right spot in front of the snow. Nothing worked. I finally just dropped it behind the dwarf in front of the wall and voila! Down came the snow! Much simpler than trying to drop it as far right as you can in front of the snow. It's the wall you need to bring down, and with it goes the snow!

It's exactly at the same place... Just behind the dwarf that gives the bonus.
