After the new story update it looks to me as if the entrance will be from either Tasca's Demise or Mineral Springs.

It also says that Tasca was last seen in Tasca's Demise, which makes sense, so if Whitman was trying to follow him he had to of passed through Tasca's Demise.

Atleast, that's what I get. Maybe the entrace will be in Tasca's Demise and it'll also connect to the Grenth area in Lornar's, thus bridging Beacon's and Granite Citadel and creating a whole new 15k armor rushing craze. Or maybe the entrance will be on the east side

Im really excited about this update, but I also really hope there will be an outpost nearby, since if it is off tasca's demise: thats a good 2 hours fighting north of camp rankor, so you would have to have a group with all day to spend in order to get there -.- also, it would be nice if they made it so non-ascended or players that didnt beat hells precipice(sp?) can enter.

I cant wait!

Except Whitman apparently screwed up, walked out the wrong gate at Droknar's, and got killed in Whitman's Folly. Amusing.

That there means that Whitman didn't necessarily die in Whitman's Folly. He could have just been near death, and made it back to Droknar's Forge. Heck, maybe his Folly was going out the wrong gate.

And while I'm on the subject, I may as well share this with you. I was adventuring around Tasca's Demise earlier clearing out the area and searching for stuff that could deal with the new areas, and took a few screenshots.

The first, and least impressive, is this gate. It remains closed, and cannot be opened. The further side of it is unmappable, which could mean that it may lead to a new area. If any, my guess would be Grenth's footprint.

The second of which is this cave...
Normally I pay no attention to caves, but look at this. There are sign posts in front of it, and it's all chained off. Perhaps the entrance to Sorrow's Furnace?

Now keep in mind that both of these pictures look much more impressive and intriguing when you're actually looking at them, and not a shrunken screenshot. If the entrances are in Tasca's Demise, I wouldn't be surprised if those were them.

If you'd care to check out those places in game, here's the route I was taking, both of the spots are near the end of the route.

Keep in mind this is only the first, and free, update. They are probably saving the ToA avatars for the expansions you have to pay for, starting in 2006.

eohjay, i thought about that place in tasca's demise, but the area that is still unexplored seems a bit small ... its smack dabe in the center of these explorable areas - we'll soon see though =)

if they do it like uw or fow and use zones under the map it could work.

probably no new addons coming this year, but expansion next year. no one knows an official date for the release but we can only hope its soon. go stand in LA by the frog in hopes of more clues.
