Question on Noloni Academy mission
This isn't a real hard mission really.. and i've done it easily with all my characters. However there is one part of the main mission (not the bonus) that puzzles me to no end and I see no point to it..
After you kill the charr in front of the gate.. the gate opens and out runs Prince Rurick.... but a Flaming Scepter Mage also runs out with him.. The prince waits a second then starts running off again.. Now here's the thing... if you talk to the Flaming Scepter Mage he will follow you. You can then drag him (and only him, the other 2 stay behind...) along with you.. When you get into Rin.. on the wall where you are there are 2 platforms.. and if you move close to them.. the flaming Scepter Mage will go stand on it and give his speech - the same speech from the ruins of Surmia mission.. you know "As long as I control this oblisk.. etc etc etc." What I'm wondering, is what's the purpose for that? I can beat that half of the mission with or without him easily. I don't see him actually ever doing anything. So I'm wondering if anyone knows just why he's there and why you can drag him to that part of the mission? Is that something that was in the beta's that was removed? Is it just "fluff" for people like me to try out and see what happens? Only point to me is to teach players to stick with Rurick! LOL I say that because everytime I tried to see if the mage would do anything, Rurick nearly got killed by the critter's he ran into! LOL |
