Ok, I've been trying to speed up farming for a while now. With your standard 55 build it goes pretty good and you didn't die. Prot bond fixed so now we're on prot spirit. Still works pretty well. But those horrible recharge times kill ya when you're doing little to no damage. Here's what I've found, as partially posted in another thread during umm, research is it? Yeah, that. Well anwyays, here it is:

Skills
Prot Spirit
Healing Breeze
Balth Aura
Bonetti's Defense
Zealots Fire
Blessed Aura
Balth Spirit
Mending

Equipment
Any armor, 1 each superior monk runes, 1 extra
Servants scalp for +1 healing
-50hp focus item
Sword from henge, 14-20 +5 energy
1 18,19 or 20% sword enchantment upgrade

Attributes
Healing 10
Smiting 14
Protection 11
Divine 11

Tactics 7
2 extra points, give them to your mom for xmas

Gameplan
Same plan as all of the other builds, get prepped up, etc. Take two points off of smiting and put them in healing to get your +4 mending. You can also drop down healing/smiting/prot and put divine favor to the max to get a 35% blessed aura. This isn't necessary though, 30% works fine.

Now you have Mending+4 on you, 30-35% enchantment from blessed aura and 18-20% enchantment from sword. As well as 45 energy. When enchanted its 48, which works pretty well. You also have +1 energy regen left.

Aura has 15 second recharge, 10 second duration. With ~50% longer, thats 15 seconds of smiting power aoe style. Breeze is 15 seconds long. Zealots Fire is 90 seconds long. Prot Spirit is about 30 secs.

Cast zealots fire and protective spirit and jump in. Aggro 2-8 aatxe. Cast breeze, wait for bonetti's to charge up. To avoid interruptions of key spells, I only cast aura when I'm under bonetti's protection. Rarely it will get interrupted, but hey, feces happens.

You are doing 24 dmg per second. Hit breeze and prot spirit while waiting for bonetti's to charge up. This is another 19x2 dmg from zealots. Bonetti charges up, fill up on energy, then hit breeze again, this will make sure you have a successfull breeze on you all the time. Cast prot spirit again for the dmg, not cause its flashing, but it resets the timer, which works well.

Get into the mindset that you are using breeze and prot spirit as damage dealers and you'll never forget to cast it and stay alive a lot more often. You see aura starting to fade. Wait for bonetti's to recharge and cast it again. It lasts as long as the timer so you can keep on casting.

oh yeah, don't forget to pick up the ecto!

Mahgo hydra's just trade balanced stance for bonetti's and go at it.

I know many of you have written posts like this, I just refer people to this site and they seem to have difficulty picking out my build from everyone else's. So here it is. I know a +18-20 can cost upwards of 80K, but if you're already farming uw..thats not a problem

why do you need blessed aura? also why do you need the +enchant duration? you said yourself you are going to be spamming prot spirit + healing breeze for damage : you are in no danger of running out of duration on either of them.

probably swap out blessed aura for increased ticks of regen or perhaps another damage dealer. i'd also go for 16 smite : protection and divine you really need bare minimum of - level 10 prot prayers gives a long enough duration on prot spirit that you won't get in trouble, and divine isn't doing all that much for you anyway. this build is really light on the skill points.

Zealots Fire -> 60 secs + ~50% = 90 secs

hey i like your idea on blessed aura'ing the balth aura.. try getting an axe w/ +20% enchants and a smiting icon w/ 20% recharge (if they exist).. i hate to give up a great skill like bonettis, but it might be possible to go Mo/R and bring serpents quickness.. bonettis might be mandatory for the darknesses :/

I appreciate the critique....but I think you're missing the point. Balth aura is the key dmg dealer to just about all 55monk builds. This build makes it possible to have CONSTANT damage from aura as WELL as spamming breeze/prot spirit for extra damage. It keeps you alive, the BONUS is the extra damage it deals.

If you can find a faster, safer way to farm uw than this build, I'd be happy to hear it.

Extra divine favor....get an interrupt on healing breeze..or three in a row..it happens. Guess what, you're protective spirit cast gives you +38 health. Fills you up enough to get bonetti's off again and cast breeze.

But lets run this through....you want to take another damage dealer...say symbol of wraith or something? Isn't that FIRE damage? Against aatxe? Holy dmg goes through. Fire damage....in this build, zealots is 42 per skill. Dmg output is 19 or so on aatxe. Aura is the BEST damage dealer you have against these guys. So you get 5 seconds of wraith...with reduced damage...with what, a 30 second recast? Compare that to full holy damage going ALWAYS. I'll take the blessed aura and race ya. The whole POINT of this build is to have enchantments at a level that makes it safe and effective.

Another advantage..when attacking aatxe with a sword it causes them to use repisumfin...forget the name of the skill. Guess what this does....when you're only finishing off one. Causes bonetti's to work QUITE well against even one aatxe.

Try it bro, I've had a couple people try it and they now vouch by it. Wanna see the video? :P

Ok, enough rambling. Try it out and then say...man, that sucks. This is a speed build and it takes them down fast.

faster farming = more kills = more loot = happier farmers

smiting icon with -50 health? Need to have your health low enough for mending and breeze to keep you up. I'm not sure though, I hate rangers with a passion.

I had a similar idea. I constantly use my sword with a 18% enchant but I was very reluctant in dropping my beloved essence bond and SoJ for zealots and aura. However, it seems to have worked wonders. Much quicker, and thanks for giving me the confidence to try it!
