I have not heard of anything else as of yet. As far as I am concerned, the explorable areas that have been added on, suck badly. I think that the PVE update was horrid. Just my opinion tho.

Not saying you are wrong or anything. Just curious as to why you feel this way.

To the best of my knowledge, the general consensus is that Deldrimor War Camp is the only map point in the area.

It makes sense - it really isn't all that far from Sorrow's Furnace at all. No real need for another town.

I agree. It maybe sounds a bit harsh, since a free update is pretty nice, but come on, it was announced something like, 3 months ago? And what do we get, 2 rather small areas, a bunch unperfect items (that are screwing up the game if you ask me), easy quests (which should've been hard)..

Where are the skills? Where is the challenge?

I have to agree that it all seems a little easy - i'm NOT a great player at this game, never gotten into the UW, etc etc, yet still managed to do all the 'help ... ' quests first try, even with a couple of poor parties (one of which was down to three ppl by the end). Fun area, nice looking, but not very challenging. I would say most of the crystal desert is harder. Although i have found that the ascended-only thing has made a difference in that i have not found a single charging-noob-warrior in a PUG yet

I've actually heard it's easier to get there from Granite Citadel, but I haven't tried it.

It's way easier from granite. Shorter too.

Yeah whatever about Green items and the new chests, I was a bit disappointed with the new areas themselves.

Fair enough Sorrow's Furnace itself is fairly big, and visually I think it's one of the best looking areas in the game. But Grenth's Footprint...from how it was described in the month's leading up to the update, I got the impression that it was big, an area that'd take just as long as Sorrow's Furnace to explore. But it's tiny, just a little staging area before Sorrow's Furnace. Big let down.

And "challenging"? Every time I read a preview article or an interview with a dev, I'd always hear that it'd be challenging, hard, with the toughest enemies yet etc. I finished all four Sorrow's Furnace quests on the first attempt and the Last Assualt on my second.

I do enjoy the idea of the having the need for keys to open chests, since this allows ppl who don't choose to nerf all the chests in an area over and over in an attempt to get rare items. I have gotten some rather decent items from chest even though I have had to spend 600-750g to buy the keys that open these chests. I am curious to know if anyone has gotten any keys in drops. I enjoyed the visual aspects of Sorrows Furnace but I have yet to find it truely challenging except when accidentally aggroing too many enemies at once. I found the flame djinn to be the only real challenge in this nether region. I would like to know if anyone knows if the the skill Comsuming Flame used by the flame djinn is capturable with a signet of capture.

I have been all over the area, pretty much mapped out all of the new areas and seen everything. Except the interior of the furnace proper - what are the furnace guardians guarding? Was fun to get the Djinn to kill them...

Anyway, the only new town is the Deldrimor War Camp.

And it's a nice one...

BTW, I like the new unique items. I've been hunting for them all day. Came up with two of them. The warhammer is nice, looks cool, has very good mods.

Don't knock the new update, have yall even been inside Sorrow's Furnace? That alone must have taken a month to build, perfect, populate with Dwarves, set up patrol patterns... how big a dev team does Anet have? How fast can you build a complex map?

Sheeesh, guys. give Anet a break...

I like it.

Then again, I'm not often applauded for being critical. It's a bad habit to get into, in my opinion. And by what the Frog is telling us, there's quite a bit more in the works.

Lol, I enjoyed em when we first ran to Deldrimor and I was the only one with keys and we found 3 chests - other 2 guildies were a bit pissed off (sorry Trell, lol)

Plus I saw a chest just as you enter the griffin farming area, but realised I'd forgot to buy the necessary keys for the desert......first griffin I killed drops a key

i dont mind just one new outpost and none within SF itself. I just find it a bit disappointing that SF is just an expansion area with nothing really new to do. Oh boy new quests?!?! Meh I still have many boring quests before the update that i never felt like completing so doing the same ole same ole in a new area gets old FAST. I know some people may enjoy the quests but thats just my opinion.

Ive heard that it is because of the directsong thing. If you listen. When the tracks change you lag for a good 10-15 seconds then its the new track. Music sounds nice and all but i dont like the big lag. So im deleting it when i get home. Thats just what ive heard
