Default Unspeakable, Unknowable.....

What the hell is the point of even having henchmen at deldrimor war camp when they put quests like this in the game fully knowing the system they have prevents players from completing it with henchmen?

I can do all the other ones with hench only, why not this one? Would it have been so hard to have a little screen pop up if you're with henchmen to select one or two of them to stay behind? Got forethought?

Blah, blah teamwork blah blah. Don't care, henchmen are there so I don't have to fart around with pugs, considering I've tried this quest 4 times and can't seem to keep a group together for long enough to finish it.

I'm pleading with you Anet, either completely remove these worthless henchmen from this outpost or do something so this quest is at least somewhat possible to finish...

I did it with henchmen without breaking a sweat.

Just check up on him every once in a while.

You can use henchies without playing by yourself, you know. Henchmen are a great way to round out a smaller team of guildies without having to play shorthanded.

Peace,

I did the majority of the quests with henchman...I completed two of the quests with a friend and 4 henchman...it IS possible to do these quests with hechman but like ensign said the henchman are there mostly to round out an incomplete team.

Get a good guild, dammit!

If you can't party with your guild now and then you need to dump them and find a better one.

I mean, you can't pull together a questing party just once?

Unless your guild is full of the same 'pugs' that you're complaining about here, in which case you need to dump that guild even more badly...

That has to be one of the most annoying advices people love to spit out "get another guild". Sorry, my guild is small in active members but there is one thing i have, and that is loyalty. All those guildhoppers, leaving the first second something is not perfect... they are downright traitors in my book.

About the quest, it is do-able with henchmen but you need to observe the pattern of the quest a bit. Usually when you close in to the combat a party of 3 foes will attack him. That is when you start closing in and get back, kill those mobs attacking the priest and finish the guys with the crystal. Run back again and kill the new patrol of 6.

It is allways the same pattern -> Closing in - 3 mobs, Finishing and picking up the item 6 mobs.

I'm not talking about guildhopping.

I'm talking about finding a guild that has a loyal base to it. That's exactly the state of my guild, not many active members but they're damn sure good people that I can party with whenever.

It solves all my party probelms. Get three or four guildies together, fill out with henchies, and we got that quest in no time. Just left three of us to defend, hold out until the runner got back with the crystal.

While it's possible to do with henchman, it's really annoying, frustrating, and time consuming to do so because the crystals are greater than compass distance away from the priest, so you have to keep running back to check on him.

However, all you really need to make this quest relatively easy is to get just one human friend willing to play a monk and spam heals on the priest while you go kill everything.

The priest is only attacked after you kill the dredge, or atleast for me it has been. I go off with henchies and kill the dredge, summit come rushing. Later same thing, summit come rushing. If I just stand there with the priest no summit will come, so I think its a triggered thing. Could be wrong though ><

With henches you do need to get the drop to trigger the attack. I did it with henches after a couple tries. Simply kill everything BUT the Blalock and lure him towards the priest, that way when he dies and drops you simply run up to the preist and help him.

After the third shard, there is a random attack from te task msters that isn't spawn, you just have to wait for them to attack before going for that 4th shard.

In human games the priest will actually follow the team after the third, but he simply will not follow you in an all henchmen team.

It is tricky, but the only really tuff part is when the taskmasters come in, because he can heal himsalf against most attacks until you get there.

Secret to orozor...get a minion master nec or an ele/mo with the ER build, both work quite well.
