Default Dreadnught's Drift Chests

I haven't been there in a while, but I recall there being two chests that dropped several items per visit. However, I haven't been there since the SF update and I'm curious about a few things.

Do those chests require and key, and do they still drop a ton of loot. Also, has anyone ever gotten say a chaos axe or crystalline sword from those chests?

Keys are required for each chest now. they sometimes drop gold items, usually purple and only drop for the one using the key. I have not gotten any good weapons from chests...
