In SF you cannot do the "High Priest Alkar" with hencies! You need someone to stay with the priest and hencies always follow you! :P
I haven't finished the RoF I must do the last mission "Hell Precipice" my character is a W/Mo and no PUG wishes to do with it! I'll try with henchies seeing the above posts it seems not impossible!
Anyway I find SF and RoF equally difficult but enjoyable.

Ring of Fire is much harder. For SF you need only 1 thing: Patience. The patience to wait for the right moment to pull one of the enemy parties out of the mob and finish them off. With the exeption of the protection mission it works all the same.

I fell into a burning ring of fire.....of course it would be tough..SF is just a walk in the park compared to RoF...did I mention not having enough people there too kills it along with all that Murssat?

RoF has evil, evil Mursaat Monk and Mesmer bosses, the Bloodstone with the Seals, the Titans, and not enough good players. SF has Orozar, Djinn, and too many noob players. I reluctantly go to RoF; the bosses are what tip the scales.

The last three missions are easier.. Sorrows you run into too many stupid groups.

Everything we learned from thunderhead keep onwards about being a bit more patient, and taking things slow (should have learned that the minute you step out of Amon Oasis), seems to be completly forgotten.

Then again, I love killing mursat they just go down really fast (minus the mursat boss in the second to last mission, I hate her).

Shadow u can Solo Hydro mangas,Drakes, and Flesh Golems? In their respective groups? thats tough man, Im not very convinced.

Lets loook at what ive done

Completed Ring of fire (and all other missions in chain): 8 people.... *2 Monks, 4 Warriors, 1 Ele,1 Mesmer*

Got Into the Middle of Sorrows Furnace: 3 people... 1 Warrior, 2 Monks

Enough said. Sorrows furnace is easy as cake. Ring of fire and the chains of islands take teamwork and intelligence. Sorrows Furnace takes a dude with a sword and 2 monks...

Most sorrow's furnace quests are easy, except for final assault. That is the most interesting quest there ever was. Its probably the trickiest thing I've ever done! Lava and the ball. Whee!

Wow I'm surprise that everyone thinks RoF is hard o_O I've beaten all three in one day a few weeks ago and it took about 10+ minutes on each mission to finish. Ring of Fire is easy as long you know what to target first and have patience. Also, do not equip yourself with armor that has a majority of Superior Runes, health is one of the major key factors.

RoF is pretty much a walk thru the park. Maybe sometimes on rough ground. Final assault would be hell if you compare that to RoF chain of islands.

The lich is EXTREMELY dissapointing.

Final Assault it's the only thing that compares with RoF. Well, not really, it's more like annoying thingy that keeps you from completing the quest - lava and respawning binders. In RoF, you have monsters that hit pretty hard(especially if you have someone uninfused - yes, it happens), can be annoyingly difficult to kill, or just plain evil(energy draining, CLing, ESing seals). Oh, and lava, if you decide to take the "easy" path.

But personally, I think Desert is actually place where things get tough. Bad groups will get slaughtered in Elona and will never make it in time in River - whereas in RoF, *real* trouble starts only if you agro too many groups at once.

I think Ring of Fire is harder. I did a couple of quest in SF using henchies and I made it....but, Ring of Fire...I tried it with henchies and we all died.

If you're just talking about fighting in each then yeah, Ring of Fire is harder. It has all the tough bad guys throughout the map. But when most people talk about "doing RoF" they mean the missions. So what's "doing SF"? If you just mean walking in and killing everything down in the furnace, then it's not too hard. If you mean completing Final Assult, then I'd say Final Assult beats out the hardest of what RoF has to offer.

All of Ring of Fire can be henched - many have done it. But for Sorrows Furnace, some people get caught up henching Orazor - it's hard when the waves are coming in, but still henchable if you position the henchies well. Others think Alkor can't be henched, but if you keep running back to him, you can hench that one as well. But I'd like to know how you beat the spawning binders with henchies alone.

Both are severely easy with an experienced, reliable team. But then so are UW/FoW. The real trick in all cases is to find such a team.

Bugeater, I'd love for someone to have the patience to teach me that. Instead of finding teams with quitters and in general, no-one really knowing what they are doing.
