Hey, at least that's something. You're doing better than I am. 10 trips into SF, and all I have to show for it is Wroth's Icon and enough Enslavement Stones to open a crappy jewelry store.

I only started farming SF in October, and here's what I found:

With my N/R, I probably went on 6 5-real-person-group farming runs into SF, each lasting 30 minutes at least, a couple as long as 90 minutes, and never got a single green. On every run, someone on the team always got green however, and some players more than 1 green drop in a run.

Then one night I did the first SF Galen Trask quest with 7 henchman, and on the way out of the Furnace and back to camp, I got the green Thorgall's Shield! Figuring it was my lucky night, I got together with some buddies to farm SF in a 5-person group, and got two more greens in that run - a Brimstone, and Gardock's Staff.

Statistically, I don't know what this means, but perhaps I was due for green because of the law of averages.

Out of my 3 characters I have in the SF area, only one has gotten any decent drops. So far my W/mo has gotten the Yakslapper x2, Shadestone, and thats about it except for tons of blue and purple armor. My E/R has gotten Flints Wand, a ton of gold swords, Sup Curses, Sup Domination Magic, Sup Blood Magic, Sup Strength and 3 Sup Vigor. My Mes/N on the other hand has yet to get a gold or green drop in SF. All I seem to get is blues and purples, be it armor or weapons. I seem to think my Mesmer is cursed or something.

I got my most dyes from per-searing, and less from post-searing. I went out yesterday doing SF farm, the monk said he was the bad luck for nothing dropping for the entire team, I told him hell no. The first FA farming we went with empty green for everyone, second trip went in without FA quest, so we killed about 3 bosses and got no green drops, at 4th boss, I got a green, then next boss dropped 2 green for the team, then again a single drop. All I am trying to say, it is random, sometime green drops crazy, sometime drops nothing.

Speaking of random luck.... or the lack thereof, I have farmed Grenths around a dozen times with peeps twice, and henchies around another ten times. I have yet to get a green.

While not a big deal, it still would be cool to get one, lol ;p

As a quick update I must say the fortunes for my Nec have changed for the better. I went to Perdition to cap Tainted Flesh, then to Dreadnaughts with my guild to cap Fest of Corruption. I then tried one more group for a fa farm run and it was unreal. I personally got Malinon's Shield, Ivor's Icon, and Rago's Wand. I do not remember the other drops but there was only one boss (Brimstone) that did not drop a green.

We decided to push our luck, zoned into GF and back, and I got a Willcrusher while farming SF. There was also a Brohn's Staff, a Tarnok's bow (forget which), Tanzit Cleaver and a few other greens drop for the group. So a FA/SF farm group of 5 got roughly 12 green drops in an hours time. So I guess all those runs (20-50) of no/crappy greens paid off in one lump sum.

i've cleaned out grenths a few dozen times with henchies and never seen a green. I'm one of those "beginning players" who has to farm for 1-2 days to scape up 15k so im hopin for a lucky green drop to sell.

i think that the more u farm in 1 place on an accnt the less drops u get.
i say it coz i have 2 accnts. and sometimes i play a lot on 1 of them and neglect the other. and after a while the char i play starts to get no drops assigned to him. if i go on my other accnt that i didn't play in a few days, i start to get more greens assigned to me again.
but maybe it's just coincidence.

Monk > *? You gotta be kidding me, right? As a Prot monk, I get *nothing*. Seriously, nothing of value. Just a bunch of Enslavement stones and Stone Summit Badges. And I'm the one spamming the most spells

Looks pretty even to me honestly. Compare it this way. (First number is party compilation, second, percentage of green drops.) Keep in mind if you have a larger percentage of elementalists in your party, you should expect them to have a larger drop rate percentage.

Elementalists: 70 - 34.65%....24 - 38.10%
Necromancers: 42 - 20.79%...20 - 32.75%
Monks: 42 - 20.79%...10 - 15.87%

Mesmers: 3 - 1.49%...0 - 0.00%
Warriors: 32 - 15.84%...7 - 11.11%

The largest discrepancy seems to be in the Necro class (with a 12% difference between the two). I think 0-5% difference between team comprisal and drop rate is acceptable, 12% is a bit of a stretch.

When I first started farming SF with my ranger (most times with a guildmate or two and henchmen) I got a pretty decent drop rate. There have been a couple times when I've watched one person get 2-3 and everyone else gets left in the cold. Lately, I get nothing, other than the "once in a blue moon" crap drop from outside the furnace. I think it's just a crazy combination of luck and timing.

I think, however, I may start to keep tabs on it likewise, just to see. Nice job with the record keeping. Interesting information.

This is really nothing new - rather consistant with the rest of the game.

I played an ele and a necro all the way through, before starting a warrior. The warrior has always gotten significantly better and more drops than the other 2 combined.

So far I've only run my minion necro in the footprint/forge. Many many runs - missions, farming, 5-man, full party, henchies - not a single green drop.

Some people think it's based on damage output. With the numbers and levels of minions I can keep running, combined with the AoE nerf, I end up being the main damage-dealer. Yet no greens. To me, combined with what I have observed in the rest of the game when it comes to drop distribution, I still think that something is hosed with the drop distribution system.

I finally got two. I was in a state of shock.

Yes, It takes me a while to build up gold as well. My current characters aren't able to access some of the real juicy places to farm and explore at this time.

I have done several runs almost all of them with my monk. I have a storage half full of Green items, and my 8 characters all have at least 2 green items corresponding to their class. I have gotten several repeat items, but I have never ever gotten a green sword. I am wondering if certain green items will only drop for a certain class?

I seem to get the fewest greens with my necro and ranger.

The two came from my ranger, lol. It's the warrior and the elementalist who have come up empty handed.

Not sure if this has anything to do with your question, but I only farm SF with my Warrior, and he has gotten about 30 greens with ones from every profession. I doubt they're profession-specific.

I always wondered if being in 'favor' had anything to do with it. Sometimes, or so it seems, I have better luck when we are in favor.
