Default Farming SF (Oro or FA) Guide?

After numerous runs with PUGs, I realized that many folks out there have different paths and routes for running Farming - some good some... not so good. Now before I go out and type up all my gathered wisdom (ok that won't take long!) I wanted to make sure that such a guide didn't already exist.

So does one?

Haven't heard of one at all. Are you interested in the actual routes or the builds used? I would think that SF farming is all about the build and the team, not the route taken.

Anything good on your runs?

more the routes then the builds. There are plenty of threads with proven builds in them. Besides as any competent GW player knows, there are always better group ideas out there (pre AoE nerf, who would have taken a necro along let alone 2?). Routes on the other hand... even with random bosses might have some benefit.

I just know that I've been in some (orozar for example) groups that run straight to the forge and only hit 2 bosses along the way (ignoring the third footprint boss) and then will get one or two bosses before triggering noble intentions. I've been in others that hit all 3 footprint bosses, pick off 4-5 before orozar and then after "completing" noble intentions pick off a few more bosses.

So there must be routes/plans that will lead you to more bosses and make doing Noble Intentions a "bit" easier. Or alternatively, there will probably be a route that is faster and doesn't hit as many bosses, but can be run in some far shorter period of time.

All of the above would apply to FA or just regular forge runs. Its one thing to have a map, another to lay out the steps/order to best do them for maximum chance of green drops.

I doubt I'm getting any more then other runners/farmers.

Final Assault:
1. Do Grenth's Footprint as normal. I try to do it as fast as possible, the money isnt that great out there.
2. Zone into Sorrow's, and have your tank grab a keg. Procede into the first chamber. Kill everything in this room as you see fit, and then go for the Furnace Guardians at the bottom of the slope.
3. Into the next chamber you go (The room Orozar camps in on his runs). Malinon, Grognar, or Tanzit will be here. Kill on the ramp/hill slightly to the left (the downhill slope after the first camping group). Clear this chamber, and move on through the furnace guardians that are straight across the room from the ramp that you are standing on.
4. Avoid aggro from below if you wish, and move to the right, into the next big room. (The room with the Djinn's in Galen's mission?)
5. Don't aggro the lone SS above and to the left, and try and keep away from the guardians until the end. In this room there will be a combination of Mesmer, and Monk bosses, and some ettins. Dispoze of these, and move through the door with the Furnace Guardians (the one past where the bosses Spawned.
6. Go through, and down the ramp, and semi-straight into a small group of Guardians, and SS. There will be a patrol that may be coming behind you, which you may want to avoid, just for speed's sake.
7. Turn left, and fight the boss group at the bottom of the hill. There are usually 2 Ele bosses here if I remember correctly.

Orozar:
1. Complete GF as normal.
2. Follow Orozar, and have your tanker grab a gear. Protect Orozar, but don't follow him to his resting place. He will be fine while you clear the bosses.
3. Hang a right, and enter the first area. This is where you protect High Priest Akalar.
4. Kill the Dredges at the top of the steps, and then continue down the steps to the boss.
5. Now go back towards Orozar, and turn right once in the chamber. There will be a boss near the crushers, so dispose of him.
6. Run through the crushers (be careful, lol), and across the bridge-like thing. There will be a group by some Furnace Guardians, so get rid of them. Turning right, you will see a boss. You know what to do.
7. After you kill the boss, cross the mini wooden bridge, and turn left. This leads you down a slope, and follow the path until you hit another boss at the end.
8. Make your way to Orozar again, and return to the first, dark chamber (the first enemy chamber in Final Assault). Make a right, and go into the tunnel at the top of the slope. Follow this all the way until you hit a boss. Kill it, and return to Orozar.
9. Accept the quest, and protect Orozar. Two bosses will spawn at random during this confrontation.
10. Accept Part Two from Orozar, and follow him to the cutscene. Keep following Orozar, and a boss or two? will spawn along the way.
11. Done

I know, I know, my route is very confusing. Works for me... maybe I'll color a route on a map in a bit...

Let me know if I typed something wrong.

EDIT! I attempted to make a visual route... I hope I got it right.

Final Assault:

Orozar:

I think I got it right. The orozar map gets a bit confusing, but in conjunction with the text, it should give a pretty good idea of where to go.

Numbers = Boss Spawns (that I can remember)
Red = Primary Orozar Boss Route
Green = Part Two of Orozar
Blue = Final Assault Boss Run

Yah, that's the short version of what I was thinking of... After you let orozar return to the front door, you can pick up another couple bosses.

First is the one that trails you after Noble Itentions B is started up. Backtrack from the entrance and you can pick him up. Typically around where the cutscene took place.

Second is way down through the jungle part - continue past 1 on your map, and then make a right. He'll be a bit further down.

I'm drawing a blank... but I think there's a third post NI part B.... Have to head back out and see what refreshes my memory.

Excellent job Liquid! Very nicely explained and well presented...

I see the green prices dropping as I read this lol

j/k.. Orazar and F/A couldn't be overfarmed much more than they already are.

Comeon, we all know that your guide is published only so you can jack prices higher on green items. This is just being done to counteract your evil vileness.

I'm appalled

I never get greens. I am currently in the middle of a 12 run drought, and last week had a 17 drought! Greens hate me.

Anything I can do to drop green prices is good in my book.

Orozar runs are becoming pathetic. People never seem to understand that MM's need to keep going. You can't go afk for 10 mins, and come back and be set to go. I've always prefered FA runs, just because of ths sheer speed at which a semi-competent group can cruise through one. 20 mins, and its done.
